Job Title: Manual Tester

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for various software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Perform regression testing, functional testing, and usability testing.
  • Review and analyze system specifications and user stories.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Validate fixes and ensure issues are resolved before deployment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Participate in test planning and estimation activities.
  • Provide feedback on product quality and usability from a user perspective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to query databases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
