The overall responsibility of the LMS Coordinator is to assist the Product Team in creating, implementing, and revising learning programs in our Learning Management Systems (LMS). This position requires that the candidate have excellent attention to detail, strong computer skills, and good communication skills, as they will communicate with team members daily via Microsoft Teams and email. They may be called upon to assist with other miscellaneous functions to support the Product Team.


GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Perform various steps to prepare videos and other course content, including SCORM, for entry in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Enter quizzes/tests and all other course elements in the LMS
  • Create and manage alternate versions of courses and programs in the LMS and other platforms as needed
  • Provide quality assurance for all elements added to the LMS
  • Provide proofreading and copyediting support for course content, including syllabi, assessments, videos, and other produced content or course-related materials
  • Assist with overall quality assurance regarding new and existing courses
  • Assist in documenting and reviewing procedures related to the development of courses and programs
  • Coordinate as needed with contractors involved in course development, quality assurance, or proofreading support
  • Communicate with content vendors related to the preparation and support of courses
  • Use various programs and software to track, manage, and document project progress and goals
  • Provide regular status updates and ensure compliance to schedule and timeframe
  • Create, review, and/or format documents in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other software
  • Perform support and troubleshooting for users of the LMS Platforms and respond to support emails
  • Provide student-facing instructions in the LMS for various types of course content in both written and video format
  • Assist with various activities that aid in the development, quality assurance, final release, and support of our eLearning courses and programs
  • Contribute to meetings and training sessions related to the LMS and overall course development and support
  • Maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and students
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to the Product Team
  • Work with the Product Team, including the Project Manager, Lead LMS Coordinator, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Production Managers, and various Product Team members and contractors, to produce the highest quality online training on the market
  • Coordinate efforts as needed with other Teams within MedCerts including, but not limited to, the Tech Team, Marketing, Student Success, and Career Advisors


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience related to Learning Management System (LMS) support is preferred
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new applications and software programs easily, with instruction
  • Ability and willingness to take direction and follow a complex set of instructions
  • Ability to follow a predefined systems and processes yet flexible to adapt to an ever-changing industry environment
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others as a team as well as independently
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Must have excellent proofing skills contributing toward overall quality assurance
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail
  • Must be organized
  • Capacity to perform tasks that are repetitive in nature
  • Problem solver, with the ability to multi-task and thrive on challenge
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively with management and other employees through multiple communication channels

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is currently a remote-based position in which work will be completed during normal business hours (approximately 8:30am – 5:00pm).
