Brief Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Linux administrator to join Elbit America’s Infrastructure team on a 6 month plus contract role. The Linux administrator will work on advanced programs, providing unique and technically advanced engineering development products to the US Government.
Requirements
Able to install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
Familiar with Redhat, CentOS and Ubuntu operating systems.
Proficient with Linux command-line (CLI).
Familiarity with Linux network configuration and troubleshooting.
Understanding of protocols such as SSH, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, LDAP and DNS where the Linux operating system is concerned.
Basic understanding of virtual environments such as VMware.
Familiar with upgrading and patching of Linux operating systems.
Familiar with package management tools like YUM, DNF and/or APT.
Previous experience managing Linux in a work or educational setting.
Ability to review system and application logs for troubleshooting purposes.
Familiar with user and group management along with privileged elevation tools.
Good documentation skills.
Familiar with Change Control processes.
Ability to understand and follow directives and perform work in a timely manner.
Nice To Have
Basic understanding of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with scripting..BASH, Perl, Python.
Experience with Centrify, Crowdstrike, Nessus, MFA or similar tooling and concepts.
Experience with LVM.
