The Surround Care Academy (SCA) is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare education. We equip physicians and other clinicians with the knowledge and skills to excel in clinical and value-based care environments, reigniting their passion for medicine while optimizing patient-provider outcomes. Our innovative, modular curriculum caters to busy professionals, offering a variety of learning experiences, including in-person workshops, live virtual sessions, and on-demand resources.

As a Lead Medical Writer & Value-Based Care Curriculum Developer, you will:

  • Conduct in-depth research on value-based care topics, clinical subjects, healthcare trends, and emerging best practices. This may involve analyzing industry reports, clinical trials, and data to identify educational needs.
  • Participate in needs assessments to understand the specific knowledge gaps and skill sets required by target healthcare professional audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to develop learning plans. This includes defining learning objectives, outlining content areas, and selecting appropriate learning modalities.
  • Translate complex medical knowledge into clear, concise, and engaging learning materials for busy healthcare professionals. You will leverage data and insights from needs assessments to tailor content to address specific learning objectives.


A Day In The Life

  • Ensure content is medically accurate, evidence-based, and aligns with adult learning principles. This involves staying current with clinical best practices and utilizing adult learning methodologies to promote knowledge retention and skill development.
  • Partner with faculty physicians and instructional designers to develop learning objectives, assessments, and engaging activities. You will collaborate to create a comprehensive, informative, interactive learning experience.
  • Stay at the forefront of advancements in value-based care and healthcare education. This includes staying updated on relevant literature.
  • Participate in testing and revising educational content to ensure optimal impact. You will analyze learner feedback and data to refine content for maximum effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to ensure adherence to SCA's Quality Assurance (QA) process.
  • Play a key role in analyzing learning program data and KPIs to iterate and update content for optimal learning impact.

Requirements

We are excited about you if you have these things:

  • Hold an MD/DNP, PharmD, MPH, MSN, or a relevant Master's degree in a public health field (e.g., Epidemiology), science communication, or technical writing.
  • Demonstrate a strong foundation in clinical knowledge and a solid understanding of healthcare delivery systems.
  • Excel at writing and editing, with a proven ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Experience developing educational content for healthcare professionals is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
