Looking for someone with experience in the entry level market - land aquisitions for a home builder developer focusing on building 200-500 home communities.
The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring land for residential development projects. The candidate will use their negotiation and land acquisition skills to identify and secure land parcels that align with the company's development goals. They will also play a crucial role in building relationships with landowners, developers, and community members to facilitate successful land acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
Identify potential land parcels for development through research and networking
Negotiate with landowners to acquire land for residential development projects
Analyze and evaluate potential land acquisitions for feasibility and cost
Collaborate with developers and community members to ensure successful land acquisitions
Manage the due diligence process for land acquisitions, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as landowners and local officials
Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities for land acquisitions
Coordinate with the legal and finance teams to ensure all land acquisitions comply with company policies and procedures
Prepare and present reports and updates on land acquisition progress to senior management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field
Knowledge of the Houston or Dallas Market
Minimum of 2 years of experience in land acquisition, preferably in residential development
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and acquiring land for development projects
Strong understanding of land use, zoning, and development regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and real estate analysis software
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to travel for work as needed
