As an Investment Banking Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to investment banking teams, assisting in the execution of financial transactions, and ensuring the smooth functioning of investment banking operations. Your duties will include analyzing market trends, conducting financial modeling, preparing presentations and reports, and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate deal execution.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis including company valuation, financial modeling, and risk assessment to support investment decisions.
Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to provide insights and recommendations to investment banking teams.
Deal Execution Support: Assist in the execution of financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), and debt and equity offerings by preparing documentation, coordinating due diligence, and facilitating communication between parties.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide support throughout the transaction process, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Reporting and Presentations: Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and pitch materials for client meetings, internal discussions, and regulatory purposes.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with investment banking transactions, and propose strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with investment banking, legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment of goals and seamless execution of transactions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.
Prior experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or related fields.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Sound understanding of financial markets, industry dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
