Investment Banking Analyst

The Vice President can expect exposure to the full spectrum of mergers & acquisitions across a range of industries; working on deals from pitch to close. The Vice President will be instrumental in sourcing and building relationships with prospective clients and investors. The Vice President will work alongside RKCA Partners and manage deals and deal teams. The Vice President is expected to be an integral leader of the firm’s small, focused deal teams and a core driver of the firm’s operational development. The Vice President will manage client relationships and buyer negotiations, facilitate pitches and engagements, and be seen as an emerging leader within the firm.

The Vice President must be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a majority of deal execution and process; driving progress and delivering outcomes for clients and RKCA
• Managing execution initiatives and materials development of analysts and associates for sell-side advisory services
• Overseeing the performance of financial and valuation analysis, including in-depth financial modeling and analysis of deal structures
• Developing transaction marketing materials (Teasers, CIMs, Management Presentations)
• Preparing pitch presentations for meetings with prospective clients
• Conducting detailed industry, buyer, financial, and market research
• Facilitating due diligence requests, including the management of Virtual Data Rooms
• Actively participate in other aspects of client engagements, including: fostering and furthering relationships with existing and potential clients; communication with prospective buyers; and transaction and purchase agreement negotiations
• Business community involvement and civic engagement to continue expanding the Firm’s strong regional market position

Qualifications:

• Alignment to RKCA’s core values
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field required
• Exceptional academic track record with relevant finance and accounting coursework
• Previous experience in investment banking or private equity (minimum 5 years in relevant occupation)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Outstanding quantitative and analytical abilities, including the capacity to generate and analyze pro forma financial statements and models
• Strong understanding of financial statements and transactions
• Excellent command of MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to meet accelerated deadlines with strong sense of urgency, self-management, and drive while working effectively under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity for creativity
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licensed within 150 days of hire required
• Clear ties to the Greater Cincinnati region desired
