Investment Analyst

Miracle Mile Advisors is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the firm’s private investment operations and research. The position is designed for an entry-level analyst that will split their time between operational and research responsibilities. The position will provide the applicant with broad exposure to the firm’s back office and trading infrastructure as well as its investment process. Applicants must have a strong attention to detail and proactive desire to learn. The position will report to the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and work out of the Los Angeles, Sausalito, or Chicago office locations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate alternative/private investment research agenda. Track new ideas through the research process.
• Serve as a member of the private and alternative investment research team; conduct initial due diligence screening new ideas.
• Participate in due diligence meetings and conduct additional analysis as directed.
• Support the maintenance and updating of due diligence documentation for liquid alternative and private investments.
• Provide operational support for private investments: Support any needs around subscription documents, redemption requests. Track and communicate K-1/1099 tax reporting. Maintain private investments in performance reporting and trading systems. Serve as subject matter expert around operational process and requirements of recommended private investments.
• Manage relationships with private investment platform providers.
• Serve as point person on Delaware Statutory Trusts/1031 exchange funds solutions and offerings.
• Oversee internal communication and publication of Investment Strategy Group content
• Write up and maintain Weekly ISG meeting minutes.
• Support research process in traditional asset classes, including updating select ETF due diligence reports
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting for the CIO and Investment Strategy Group

Qualifications:

• College Degree, with a major in finance, accounting and/or economics
• Progress toward or the completion of either the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
• Required to work in the office a minimum of three days per week. Open to the position being located in either the Los Angeles, Sausalito or Chicago office locations.
