About the role…

The qualified IT Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day assistance to customers nationwide, addressing various issues ranging from User Account Management to configuring Remote Desktop/Terminal Services and other devices and features utilized by our Enterprise Rental Management Software.


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience.
  • Telephone/Remote Customer Support experience (can be substituted with onsite experience
  • or equivalent customer service experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of Windows Support Experience supporting a PC/SERVER customer base.
  • Proficiency in basic computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and
  • software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, routers, switches) and
  • troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and basic security measures.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with help desk or customer support procedures.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, especially in providing technical support.
  • Familiarity with web browsers, internet protocols, and basic web development concepts (HTML, CSS).
  • Knowledge of basic scripting languages like Batch scripting or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of basic database concepts and SQL queries.


Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Driver’s License Scanners (OCR), Digital Signature Pads, Bar Code Readers.
  • Experience with Small Business Network Routers and Switches (NETGEAR, Cisco, SonicWALL).
  • Proficient with Dell Workstations and Servers (Dell T1xx and Dell T6xx Series Servers).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server/Express 2019 setup and configuration.
  • Configuration skills in Windows 10, Windows 11.
  • Expertise in POP/SMTP Email setup.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services.


Advantageous Skills

  • Previous experience in the Rental Industry.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Rental Software from an end-user perspective.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional/Administrator.
  • CompTIA A+ and/or Net +.
  • Experience in Remote Windows Administration for offices of 1 to 15 users.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt. Includes Base Salary + Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) + 120 Hours PTO + 100% 401K (matching up to 4%). M-F, Daytime Schedule.
