About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Accounting and Sales Tax Specialist to oversee our marketplace's accounting processes and ensure compliance with sales tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting and extensive knowledge of tax collection and payment procedures. This role entails managing sales tax calculations, preparing and filing tax returns, and maintaining meticulous records.
Your Responsibilities
Manage accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and financial reporting using Xero.
Oversee sales tax collection and payment procedures using TaxJar.
File sales tax registrations on behalf of buycycle.
Report sales tax accurately and timely, maintaining precise records of transactions.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
About You
Proven experience in accounting and sales tax compliance.
Strong knowledge of tax collection and payment procedures, particularly using TaxJar.
Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
