The Role

As our Founding Engineer/CTO/Technical Leader, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and build a product from a blank state that touches the lives of thousands today (millions tomorrow). You will be responsible for all technical decisions, direction, and execution. You’ll work directly with both founders to convert our company’s mission into tangible solutions for our end users, building products that are delightful, connecting, scalable, and innovative. We’ve found product-market fit on a small scale through a low-code, operational product, and are now committed to investing in software to accelerate our growth.

We’re looking for a mission-driven technical executor & leader who is excited about building software that enables us to deliver meaningful IRL connection at mass scale. As our company grows, so can your role.

What you need to be successful

• 5+ years full-stack software development experience, with a passion for both coding and leading
• Previous experience working in an early stage B2C high growth startup
• Have spent a significant portion of your time writing code in recent roles or have kept your hands-on skills sharp outside of work
• Comfort operating between both setting quarterly-yearly technical strategy and executing day-to-day SWE work
• Strong communication skills & experience working cross-functionally
• Demonstrated technical leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience making build vs. buy decisions
• Experience building & maintaining custom integrations with 3rd party tools
• Strong user empathy, with a passion and energy to build the right thing for our end users & business, regardless of the form that takes
• Excitement about operating in an ownership environment — you’ll be responsible end-to-end for all of our software

Compensation: $150K/year and 2% equity

Location: This is an in-person role based in SF.
