The applicant will have a role within the Shared Services team focused on managing the Company’s Marketing Advertising Financials. Will work with the day-to-day marketing accounting financials. The role includes monthly close, account analysis, reconciliations review, among other accountings activities. Will monitor and analyze marketing expenses versus forecast. Job Responsibilities:
This role will:
- Work and analyze marketing Closing Schedules & Rolling Plans
- Lead meetings with Marketing team’s departments
- Communicate and review actuals with Marketing teams looking for improvement/efficiencies to keep them on track, in comparison with the budget
- Perform research, such as reviewing account variances or discrepancies that are identified during closing/meetings, for timely resolution
- Review marketing accounts receivable, payable, and prepaid reconciliations
- Analyze/Review marketing actuals/estimated expenses to be submitted to FP&A and leaders
- Analyze/Review data to generate marketing journal entries
- Generate Sales Tax report for reclassification purposes
- Generate Cost Centers report for reclassification purposes
- Review deductions for marketing invoices
- Review marketing accounts receivable reconciliation and follow up vendors/merchants for invoices not collected on time
- Analyze and estimate Oracle and IRI revenue share
- Analyze/Review Coupons and Rewards summary reports
- Analyze/ Update Groupon Expense Summary and Reconciliation Report and generate entry back up, to be uploaded
- Review insertion fees reports and reconciliation
- Process weekly CAPS/Postage funding and send USPS reports to CAPS team for reconciliation
- Support the assignment of Internal Orders to all teams
- Perform other duties or projects assigned by the supervisor, as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities (e.g., time management and efficiency)
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., identify and research issues)
- Must be comfortable to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficient in MS Office with MS Excel skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
