Key Executive Position at Mental Health Nonprofit Organization
Overview
As the Associate Executive Director at our nonprofit organization in Orange County, you will oversee key departments such as Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, and Marketing. In the absence of the Executive Director, you will serve as the primary administrator ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
Responsibilities
Uphold a positive and accurate portrayal of the organization's mission and services.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders while staying updated on policy initiatives and funding opportunities.
Lead and inspire a skilled team, fostering collaboration and innovation within organizational guidelines.
Optimize service delivery by managing program caseloads effectively.
Direct hiring, training, and annual evaluations of staff, along with conducting regular staff meetings.
Review and approve program reports, financial expenditures, and correspondence.
Collaborate with the management team on long-term planning and program oversight.
Act as a representative at community meetings and events.
Establish and ensure compliance with goals for community programs as well as regulatory agencies and funding sources.
Submit program billing accurately and timely.
Develop new project proposals and address unmet community needs.
Participate in incident review committees and engage with community organizations to enhance agency visibility.
Support social media presence and contribute to educational workshops and public awareness programs.
Additional Responsibilities
Respond to main office phone calls and participate in agency committees as required.
Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in health and human services or related field with 5 years of executive leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, or Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of similar experience.
Strong supervisory skills with proven leadership capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
Strong interpersonal, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of Medicaid waivers preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to travel within Orange County.
Terms Of Employment/Benefits
Exempt position.
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Primary Location: Middletown, NY with travel throughout Orange County.
