The Document Control Analyst position at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. provides an exceptional chance to join our Engineering Data Management team (EDM) and contribute to our mission of promoting a healthier, cleaner, and safer world for our customers. As a Document Control Analyst, you will have a vital role in managing all user documentation releases and supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for our North American sites.

Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Reviewing and releasing technical engineering documentation into our Product Data Management system (PDM)
  • Supporting Engineering Changes by collaborating with Operations Engineers, Engineering Change Coordinators, and various departments
  • Generating and maintaining CAD data, new part numbers, user documentation, and compliance certificates
  • Training engineers and other departments on data management requirements and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and meeting targets within your scope of activity
  • Building relationships with Engineering, Logistics, Service, and Quality teams to resolve technical questions
  • Participating in Change Review Boards to review implementation plans for engineering changes
  • Ensuring work safety, fire safety, and hygiene standards are met
  • Other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A BS/AA Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
  • 2+ years of experience with Document Control tools such as Teamcenter
  • 2+ years of CAD experience
  • CMII Certification is preferred
  • Strong coordination and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in creating user documentation using Microsoft Office and Acrobat applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
