We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Strategic Sourcing to join our team. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations as you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the effective and efficient procurement of raw materials and contract manufacturing services. This role requires a keen understanding of global sourcing, commodity management, and risk management. If you are a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain operations and vendor management, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the effective and efficient procurement of raw materials and contract manufacturing services.
• Lead the vendor management process, including conducting quality business reviews and managing supplier relationships.
• Develop goals and objectives for the sourcing department and monitor progress using KPI dashboards.
• Oversee the implementation and use of ERP systems within the sourcing department.
• Manage risks associated with sourcing and procurement activities.
• Lead the commodity management process to ensure the best pricing and quality for raw materials.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
• Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the nutraceutical and dietary supplement industries and incorporate this knowledge into sourcing strategies.
• Manage a team of sourcing professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to sourcing and procurement activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or a related role in the manufacturing industry.
• CSP Certification and APICS Certification are required.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their application in a sourcing context.
• Proven experience in vendor management and commodity management.
• Solid understanding of supply chain operations, including procurement, contract manufacturing, and global sourcing.
• Experience in the nutraceutical or dietary supplement industry is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and practices as they relate to sourcing and procurement activities.
