Director of Programs

Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Program Management to lead our program management office. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex defense projects. The role demands an individual who can align project objectives with business goals, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality products.

Bascom Hunter provides solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Aerospace markets across various disciplines. Our BH Tech division currently provides products and services across four product lines: RF Systems, RF Components, Neuromorphic Processors and Photonics.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the program management office and oversee the successful execution of all projects.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules and milestones in collaboration with engineering, production, and other departments.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, partners, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Implement robust risk management processes to minimize project risks.
• Define and refine project management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Prepare detailed reports for executive management on project status, risks, and achievement of strategic objectives.
• Direct the allocation of resources and provide guidance to project managers and other project personnel.
• Enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency through leadership and innovation in project management practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in program management within the defense electronics industry.
• Strong track record of managing large-scale, complex defense projects.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Deep understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations such as ITAR, ISO, and MIL-STD.
• Prior experience in electronic design preferred
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
