Job Summary

The position is responsible for the supervision of staff, business processes, and operations of the Office of Admissions and oversees the College’s recruitment plan and efforts. The position works with all academic divisions to ensure that recruitment for academic programs is executed properly and based on a college-wide standard.

Job Duties

Perform overall supervision and management of full-time and part-time staff in the Office of Admissions to include hiring, training and evaluating performance. Evaluate business processes relative to the Office of Admissions and lead change when required. Ensure the integrity of the admission process by supervising the collection of new and readmit applications andother required admissions documents. Recommend, analyze, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in regards to admission. Oversee and evaluate all aspects of the College’s new student recruitment efforts with emphasis on high school recruitment activities. Oversee the Pioneer Leader Scholarship Program including, but not limited to: Selection and training of scholarship recipients, and the scheduling and tracking of scholarship recipients service hours. Oversee the Office of Admissions digital presence, including but not limited to third party systems that integrate with Banner. Work in conjunction with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to design and evaluate printed materials, including collateral items. Represent the College on the Tennessee Board of Regents Admissions and Records committee. Oversee, manage, and maintain all aspects of the College’s international student (F1/M1) program including, but not limited to, serving as the primary college contact, assisting in the completion of the applicant’s admission file, issuing 1-20 forms for Immigration Services, and reporting international student enrollment to Immigration Services through the Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS) at all campus locations. Oversee and enforce residency classification and reclassification, to include EVEA, for tuition purposes. Leverage recruitment and admission-related technology including but not limited to Slate and Banner to continuously improve business processes, recruiting capabilities and the student onboarding experience. Manage and maintain the online request for information forms and the online application for admission. Oversee website content related to the Office of Admissions and third party sites used for recruiting purposes. Oversee inquiry and applicant communications as well as registration related communications for new students. Ensure the calendars for campus tours and campus events related to the Office of Admissions are managed and maintained properly. Manage the development and enforcement of College admission policy and content of the College Catalog related to admission. Analyze, interpret, and maintain internal reports related to the Office of Admissions. Assist prospective students, both in person, and at a distance, in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process. Respond, when needed, to inquiries from prospective students using, but not limited to, telephone, email, and social media/online chat. Develop and manage the Office of Admissions Continuous Improvement Plan. Plan, propose, and administer the budget for the Office of Admissions. Serve on College committees as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Five years of related experience.

Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in software that is relevant to the daily operations of Admissions.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

A thorough knowledge of recruitment and admission best practices, policies, and procedures.

Excellent computer skills, including knowledge and uses of integrated student database systems.

Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality; exceptional customer service skills; and possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, excellent management and team building skills, and top-notch organizational skills.

Must be a willing advocate of the mission of the college.

Must have strong leadership, human relations, and communications skills.

Pay Rate: $62,385 - $77,981 annual salary depending on experience
