Positions: 2 Full Time Associate, Mid-Senior level, Director Experience 4 – 10 Years Job Description: Data Warehouse Architect- Hybrid in Iowa Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Warehouse Architect to join our team. As a Data Warehouse Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehousing solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists, to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data warehouse designs. Your expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies will be crucial in delivering robust data solutions to support our organization’s analytics and reporting needs. Responsibilities: Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions. Develop data models, data flow diagrams, and architectural blueprints for the data warehouse. Ensure the data architecture aligns with industry best practices and supports the organization’s long-term data strategy. Data Integration and ETL: Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. Develop strategies for data integration, data quality, and data cleansing to ensure accuracy and consistency within the data warehouse. Optimize and tune ETL processes for performance and efficiency. Database Management: Select and configure appropriate database technologies for the data warehouse, considering factors such as data volume, query complexity, and scalability. Define and enforce data warehouse standards and best practices for data storage, indexing, partitioning, and optimization. Monitor and maintain the health, security, and performance of the data warehouse. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks within the data warehouse and propose solutions to enhance system performance. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization activities, such as indexing, query optimization, and data partitioning. Implement strategies for data archiving and purging to optimize storage and query performance. Data Governance and Security: Define and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. Collaborate with data privacy and security teams to implement appropriate access controls and data protection measures. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data governance, security, and regulatory requirements. Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain documentation for data warehouse design, data mappings, ETL processes, and system configurations. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and provide expertise in data warehouse matters. Qualifications (updated): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Architect or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse design principles. Strong expertise in ETL processes, data integration, and data cleansing techniques. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational databases. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. Familiarity with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools and frameworks as needed.
