RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for detailing and drafting structural steel components such as; beams, columns, connections, floor plates, cross bracing, and anchor bolts for large construction projects
This candidate must be comfortable taking direction from internal and external project managers and engineers
This position will require some estimating, new product development, customer service, and providing design for manufacturability
Candidates must work well with other teams such as engineering, sales, marketing, accounting, and manufacturing
Candidates will also work with the business development team by providing technical support both in-house and in the field
Required travel should be no more than 10% per year to domestic and international customers
Growth potential into Estimating and Project Management for qualified candidates
REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or Mechanical Design
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor Suite, Tekla, Advanced Steel, RISA, and Revit preferred
Experience focused on the fabrication of Structural Steel and Construction
Candidate should have good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prefer at least 3 years of experience
