RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for detailing and drafting structural steel components such as; beams, columns, connections, floor plates, cross bracing, and anchor bolts for large construction projects
  • This candidate must be comfortable taking direction from internal and external project managers and engineers
  • This position will require some estimating, new product development, customer service, and providing design for manufacturability
  • Candidates must work well with other teams such as engineering, sales, marketing, accounting, and manufacturing
  • Candidates will also work with the business development team by providing technical support both in-house and in the field
  • Required travel should be no more than 10% per year to domestic and international customers
  • Growth potential into Estimating and Project Management for qualified candidates



REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or Mechanical Design
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor Suite, Tekla, Advanced Steel, RISA, and Revit preferred
  • Experience focused on the fabrication of Structural Steel and Construction
  • Candidate should have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Prefer at least 3 years of experience
