Job Summary

We seek a dynamic and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and driving the growth of our customer base. This role is crucial for expanding our market presence and ensuring a robust pipeline of potential clients as Ecotone expands. Great candidates for this role enjoy staying current on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify growth opportunities.

This position has career growth opportunities in account executive, customer success, and management roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including social media, industry events, and networking.
  • Outreach: Conduct outbound prospecting activities such as cold calls, emails, and social media engagement to generate new business leads.
  • Qualify Leads: Assess and qualify all leads to determine their potential and readiness for further engagement by the sales team.
  • Book Meetings: Establish relationships with key contacts and book appointments for the Ecotone Sales team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to align for a seamless transition of account handoffs in the sales funnel.
  • Reporting: Track and report on critical metrics, including lead generation activities, conversion rates, and overall sales pipeline health.

Qualifications

  • Experience / Education: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred, OR a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales automation tools, with a preference for Hubspot experience
    • Ability to conduct market research and identify business opportunities.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attributes:
    • Self-motivated and results-driven.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for sustainability.
Benefits

  • Base salary range of $55,000-60,000, plus commission of 10% 1-year value of closed deals (total expected OTE $75,000).
