Accounts Payable Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable payment terms
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Develop and maintain AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Prepare month-end close reports and assist with financial reporting as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Experience implementing process improvements and optimizing AP workflows is a plus
