We are working with a growing Manufacturing company located near Melbourne, FL in their search to add an Accounting Manager to the team. This Accounting Manager will manage a team of 4 employees and will report into the Director of Accounting. Job Description

The Accounting Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain accuracy of the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and post all Journal entries.
• Plan, organize and perform the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and coordinate preparation of financial statements with Director.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and review with Director.
• Review income statement and prepare variance analysis to budget/forecast as necessary.
• Coordinate with GM and HRM to prepare labor forecast.
• Assist in control of expenditures.
• Code expenses and expense reports.
• Review and update standard costs in the ERP system.
• Lead the finance function in the year-end physical inventory.
• Provide backup for other financial functions including Payroll, Accounts Receivable cash posting and application, and Accounts Payable.
• Perform internal audits as necessary.
• Supervise accounting personnel. Monitor performance and provides prompt and objective coaching and counseling.
• Adhere to and implement all corporate financial policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Prepare reports to assist other departments with understanding and properly using financial data.
• Generate ideas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures

The Successful Applicant

The Accounting Manager - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or General Business
• Masters degree preferred but not required
• 4+ years of experience within a Manufacturing accounting setting
• Management or mentorship experience is required
• CPA is a plus but not required
• ERP System experience is required
• ADP experience is a plus
• Payroll experience and Inventory/Costing is a plus
