Due to company growth, this is a newly created Accounting Manager position within a fast-growing marketing technology provider based in the DC/Baltimore area. This fully remote opportunity will offer the ability to build out and shape the companies’ accounting functions as well as own and improve accounting operations. In addition to fully remote work flexibility, the Accounting Manager position will offer a competitive compensation plan including a base salary in the $110,000 to $115,000 range, annual bonus, full benefits and employer paid medical coverage, unlimited PTO plan, and dedication to work-life balance. This is a unique opportunity for candidates with 4 or more years of experience, CPA or CMA, and prior or current public accounting experience to step into a manager level position within a dynamic and profitable technology organization. Ideal candidates should be located in the eastern time zone and have related industry exposure within the marketing, advertising, technology, or software sectors whether direct or through public accounting engagements.

Accounting Manager – Job Description

• Support all aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
• Lead preparation of financial statements
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies
• Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
• Assists with preparations for audits and tax filings
• Manage invoicing, AR, and AP for the company
• Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records
• Report directly to CFO

Accounting Manager – Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• At least 4 years’ of professional experience
• Prior experience in public accounting preferably within large national or Big 4 accounting firms
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Related industry exposure in the marketing, technology, Saas, advertising, or business services sectors whether direct or through public accounting clients highly preferred
