JFS is a growing Accounting and Consulting firm that primarily focuses on Healthcare, Construction-based companies, and non-profits. JFS isn’t a traditional Accounting firm and we are looking for people who share in our goal of disrupting the Accounting Industry. We create more value for our clients in a holistic approach that spans beyond basic tax returns and books to help our clients’ obtain financial freedom for themselves and/or their business. About the Role:

The Accounting Manager is a part of a high performing team of Accounting and Financial Professionals. The Accounting Team’s role is to identify and implement Accounting Services for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. The Accounting Manager manages strategic accounts and helps to support the team through team member mentoring and coaching.


High Level Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Basic Accounting Functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Bookkeeping
  • Team Support: Fielding team questions, help train new team members, reviewing a new team member’s work, Payroll Review
  • Books Analysis and Discovery projects for Prospective Clients
  • Manage Strategic Accounts as Client Manager, keeping in regular contact with clients and establishing strong relationships with book of Clients
  • Advanced Accounting Functions: Month End, Month End Review, Quarterly Review of Bookkeeping level Clients, Budget analysis and strategy recommendations to clients, Cash Flow Planning, Grant Invoice Review, take lead on assisting with Client Audits, Present Financials at Board Meeting
  • QBO Client Training
  • Special reporting requirements as they arise
  • Tax support tasks as needed to help the team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of Accounting Experience Required
  • 5 years in a Manager or Lead role
  • Bachelors in Accounting, or related field
  • Solid knowledge/experience in all aspects of accounting (Financial Statements, Payroll, A/R, A/P, etc.)
  • QBO and QBD
  • Experience with Project Management Software such as Asana, Notion, Monday, ClickUp, a plus
  • Experience working remotely, a plus
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $75,000-$100,000 commiserate with experience level


Expected hours: Minimum of 40 per week, seasonal overtime may be needed from all team members and this is planned for in advance.
