3D Geologic Modeler

Insight Global is seeking a 3D Modeler to support a federal client in Hampton Roads, VA. This 3D Modeler position will support 3D model and gaming terrain requirements for a team that produces virtual, constructive, and interactive modesl for many large clients including some within the US Department of Defense.

The 3D Modelers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Publish exercise-ready geo-specific, geo-typical, and dynamic 3D models in a variety of formats
• Produce 3D models related to water, petroleum, contaminants, etc.
• Update and maintain 3D model and texture libraries
• Coordinate and liaison with source data providers and exercises planners/ customers
• Identify production process optimization; testing visual attributes to ensure models are rendered correctly for the target simulation or system
• Collaborate with team members of other disciplines to enhance, adjust, and troubleshoot all models, and coordinate adjustments to the production schedule

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Earth Volumetric Studio (EVS)
• Experience with LeapFrog
• Experience with ArcGIS
• Experience in 3D modeling, texturing, scripting, and animation; for use in virtual, integrated gaming, and constructive simulation environments
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment is required
• Bachelor's degree in Geology

Plusses:

• Familiarity with dashboarding softwares such as PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.
• Familiarity with coding languages; C++, Python, Javascript, R, etc.
• Understanding of visual database concepts, remotely sensed imagery, terrain modeling, and synthetic environments a plus
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Database creation or management
