The project was developed to automate all the functional areas of CISF Headquarters, such that all its subsequent units benefit from the technological advances at the headquarters.
The Automation Focused on the Following Main Issues:
A software that can monitor and keep track of all the sub units of CISF. This software will also include a logical approach in calculating the health and the performance of these units.
Creating a WEB SERVER and a DATABASE SERVER that can be accessed by all 256 units of CISF across the country, such that individual units can access the front end of various databases on the web server to send in their unit details to the headquarters.
An internal file movement system that can enable the CISF headquarter to monitor its day to day activities, organize and have a better control over their records and databases and thus reduce the possibility of the human errors in maintaining the file.
The project development life cycle was divided into the following phases:
Phase 1- Our work began by establishing requirements for all system elements. System is the basic and very critical requirement for the existence of software in any entity. So we studied the software requirement for the system and concluded that the systems did not have the required software and hardware. Hence we configured the systems accordingly.
Phase 2 - In this phase, we visited CISF and studied their system. By the end of our study, we furnished a document that holds the different specific recommendations for the candidate system. It also included the personnel assignments, costs, project schedule, and target dates.
Phase 3 – We finalized the software's overall structure and segregated the entire functional areas of CISF into 9 modules.
Phase 4 - Next we worked on the UI, integrated the entire solution and delivered a effective bug free solution.
