Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR)

-Founded in 1976, CIDR (formerly Seattle Biomedical Research Institute) is Seattle’s first global health organization. It is the largest independent, non-profit organization devoted solely to infectious disease research. With about 250 staff members, Seattle BioMed tackles the world’s most devastating diseases and focus on developing new solutions. - In October 2018, CIDR joined forces with Seattle Children’s Research Institute.
