Well, here we go again. The team at Intercept Games will be laid off as of June 28th so a great group will be out and about looking for their new roles. As will I. I got to know the designers pretty well in my all-too-brief time there. These are some fantastically smart and talented people and I'm happy to vouch for their qualities. And I can say the same about the other disciplines - good folks across the board. Kerbal Space Program 2 is a delightful game, deeply engrossing, and incredibly pretty even in its early-access state and I hope you have a chance to check it out. For Science!
Hello Quinn, I'm so sorry to hear about Intercept. I really enjoyed Kerbal Space Program and even applied to join your team at one point. If you're interested, we have this position open: https://grnh.se/f483531d4us Hope to hear from you soon and take care of yourself! Sincerely yours, Leigh
Ugh, I’m so sorry Quinn! I’ll keep my eyes open and flip whatever I can over to you!
Sorry to see this happening again, Quinn.
Sorry to hear this, what a terrible year it has been.
This is why I got out of the games industry 😞
Good luck Quinn
Sorry to hear Quinn ! Rough times.. Let's go on a ride sometimes if you fancy riding some squamish slabs to keep spirits up (and for science too!)
Aw crap! So sorry Quinn!! 😞 Drinks on me… For Science! (of course).
Sorry to hear it, Quinn, it shows so much promise. For Science!
Well, that's a disappointment. Maybe start a rumor they have all been hired by NASA, to formally inspire tomorrows astronauts, as well as introduce older generations to our colonization procedures, as we should at some point colonize another planet? I did try it briefly, and I have this to say about it: 1. It didn't feel like KSP1, Something about it, the menus maybe, part of the look, did not feel that cartooney to me. I can't quit place it but it seemed lacking in that. Surely the spirit of Kerbol should endure if there was to be a KSP2 2. I was happy, but rather uncomfortable, by the rumored introduction of fictional technology, namely faster than light travel. Currently this does not exist. That is another reason why I felt that this was kinda going off premise. For one thing, if you do that, you are basically competing with every other space game around that uses ftl like it was toaster oven technology. So what would be the point? Also assuming we do someday figure out warp/ftl whatever, its likely to change everything. So I would imagine the game basically becomes point and click once you reach ftl in the research tree. 3. However some of the upgrades on it, namely playing around to find capture cones etc was brilliant.
