The NFIA (Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency) invited Chris Peel, Greg Henry and Arno La Haye for a reception and round table discussions with The Netherlands royal couple, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima, the U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands Shefali Razdan Duggal and Dutch Ambassador to the U.S. Birgitta Tazelaar at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Attendees learned about our sustainability and decarbonization initiatives and The Netherlands' role in supporting Rheem’s Family of Brands, DEJONG and Intergas. Thank you, NFIA, for allowing us to share our industry-leading initiatives!
This is a momentous week for NFIA Americas and the global Dutch community. Yesterday, we welcomed His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima for Day 1 of their visit to the United States. The first stop for the Dutch royal couple? The “Peach State” of Georgia. In the afternoon, the royal couple officially opened Netherlands-based NewCold’s state-of-the-art warehouse in McDonough, GA. Accompanying U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands, Shefali Razdan Duggal, as well as Dutch Ambassador to the U.S., Birgitta Tazelaar, we spoke with businesses, associations and knowledge institutions related to further strengthening resilient supply chains. Later in the afternoon, we toured the exhibition, “Dutch Art in the Global Age,” and enjoyed an evening reception at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, together with industry leaders from several of our key U.S. current investor companies. The whole day was a great opportunity to celebrate U.S.-Dutch economic ties, which flow both ways across the Atlantic. In that vein, it was a pleasure to connect with American companies that are investing in the Netherlands to pursue innovative solutions in smart logistics, the energy transition, life sciences and others. The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency and #InvestInHolland network are here to ensure that forward-looking companies can find the right place to land and grow in the Dutch ecosystem. Last but not least, I am so proud of NFIA’s team in Atlanta for helping to organize key parts of this first leg of the Dutch royal visit. They’ve done an incredible job of working with our partners to get this all in place. Of course, the week is not over. The next stop for the royal couple is the State of New York. Stay tuned for more updates later in the week! #NLintheUSA #RoyalVisit #NLUSA
