Last month was my last one at Cogo Labs after a dozen years of crazy, incredible growth, collaboration, success, failure, and learning. I don’t know anyone as lucky as I was to have the opportunities that I’ve had, the chance to build and to stretch my perspectives with so much support. The exposure to huge success stories, failures and sticky pivots, brilliant strategists and technologists and entrepreneurs — it’s been truly inspiring. I feel like I grew up there, and in a lot of ways I definitely did. While it’s bittersweet, I know I’m moving on still supported by some of the sharpest, most ambitious people I’ve ever met. If there’s one common thread to the successes I’ve gotten to see, it’s always people: high-bandwidth badasses who understand the value of collaborating with a group of their peers. They hold each other to a high standard, fill each others’ gaps, and always keep a long-term vision in their sights. To all of you I’ve been privileged to work with: thank you, sincerely and genuinely, for everything you’ve taught me. So, what’s next? We’re gonna go grab a billion tons of carbon out of the atmosphere. I’ll keep you posted.
