🎙️What attracted you to join our company?
💼 Before joining Obol, I only had limited exposure to the world of Blockchain and Ethereum. I learned about Obol through a friend who mentioned they were looking for a Data Scientist. Although I wasn’t actively seeking a job change, I decided to apply because Obol seemed like a great company to work for. However, it was actually during the interview process, that I became very interested in Obol. I felt that the team and I shared the same values, and I realized that I had an opportunity to work on what I love and that I'd have fun doing it. I was excited about the idea of developing some of the data infrastructure from the ground up. Coming from a large corporate environment, I was also eager to work at a small company where I could be involved in various aspects and enjoy a dynamic environment.
🎙️What do you enjoy most about working here?
💼 I enjoy the type of work the most. We're basically building a new data platform so that's very exciting stuff! But also the team is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, especially as a remote company, is great! We interact a lot and everybody is super helpful. I joined my first offside a few months ago and it was fantastic to meet everyone in person and do fun activities together!
🎙️What skills or knowledge have you gained during your time here?
💼 Primarily, I've learned about Ethereum, how validators work, smart contracts, and various tools for obtaining on-chain data. I've also learned about new platforms, especially cloud infrastructure. Since I was in a large financial institution before, all infrastructure was on premise, so it's very refreshing to have access to cloud platforms.
🎙️What advice would you give to someone considering joining our company?
💼If you have the opportunity, definitely join! It's a place where you'll work on really interesting projects with very talented people, and it's a company where you can truly develop yourself.
