Anna and Chloe are two Newtown Girl Scouts from Troop 226 who helped build the new 'Eliza Taylor' Pollinator Garden for their Silver Award project. From start to finish, they each dedicated 60 hours to planning, building, and fundraising for this blossoming project. The name 'Eliza Taylor' honors the wife of Mahlon Taylor, whose family owned the area of the park known as Taylorsville. The girls utilized locally-native perennial plants donated by various local gardens and businesses. They celebrated the grand opening on May 26th to discuss the importance of pollinator gardens and the process that went into creating this beautiful space. We are proud of their passion to bring this garden to life! #GirlScouts #GiveBack #GoodNewsStory #GSEP https://bit.ly/3KpnsDt
