If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that embedded finance and embedded payroll are the future. Andrew Brown was at Collision Conf this week to discuss the expansion and opportunity of embedded finance alongside Ravi Adusumilli of Airwallex, Laura Spiekerman of Alloy, and Anne Gaviola of Global News.
Earlier this week I had the privilege of speaking at Collision Conf along with Laura Spiekerman from Alloy and Ravi Adusumilli from Airwallex on how embedded fintech is reshaping the landscape for SMBs. My takeaway is that we've entered a new era of innovation for embedded finance. It's no longer just about payments, which are now so ubiquitous that we don't even think of them as embedded. In 10 years the same is going to be true for additional financial services like payroll, insurance, and lending. "Embedded" is just going to be the way payroll works, and it's going to seem almost inconceivable that it ever worked another way.
