Phanteks debuts Polar ST4 and ST5 CPU coolers

Phanteks is returning to the air cooler market with two new single-tower CPU air coolers – the Polar ST4 and Polar ST5. Although both coolers are very similar, some key differences make them stand apart: the top cover on the heatsink, colour, and heatpipe count.

The Polar ST5 is a sleek black cooler with a classic appearance that returns to Phanteks' roots. Standing just 154mm tall, it features a slim profile that leaves ample clearance for memory modules in the first slot. Moreover, it sports five 6mm heat pipes and a Direct Touch base. While the Polar ST5 captivates with its timeless design, the Polar ST4 takes a more raw and rugged approach, boasting four 6mm heat pipes and a height of 154.5mm.

Both coolers feature a front-mounted M25-120 fan with RGB lighting (3-Pin D-RGB daisy-chain). With a variable speed ranging from 400 to 2000 rpm, the fan delivers an airflow of 84.26 CFM and a static pressure of 2.67mmAq. However, Phanteks notes a noise level of 35.7dB(A) at maximum speed, so users should be prepared for some audible operation.

The new Polar ST4 and ST5 are backed by a 5-year warranty and compatible with Intel LGA 115x/1200/1700/2011/2011-3/2066 sockets and AMD AM4 and AM5 platforms. Each cooler's packaging includes a low-noise adapter, PH-NDC thermal compound, and a thermal paste spreader.

KitGuru says: If Phanteks can nail the price-performance ratio here, then these could end up being hot sellers for new PC builders.
