IMDb has revealed its Top 10 Stars and Top 10 Breakout Stars of 2019, with “Captain Marvel” star Brie Larson coming in No. 1 on the first list and “The Boys” star Erin Moriarty topping the second, TheWrap has learned exclusively.
In addition, TheWrap has learned exclusively that “Stranger Things” star Dacre Montgomery — who is No. 5 on this year’s Top Stars list and No. 2 among the Breakout Stars rankings — has been given the IMDb STARmeter Award, an honor shared by Larson, IMDb’s No. 1 star of 2019 and the recipient of the 2015 IMDb Breakout STARmeter Award.
“Rather than base its annual rankings on small statistical samplings, reviews of professional critics, or box office performance, IMDb determines its definitive top 10 lists using data from IMDbPro STARmeter rankings, which are based on the actual page views of more than 200 million monthly visitors to IMDb,” the website told TheWrap.

Exclusive: IMDb announced its first-ever scripted series You’re Not a Monster featuring the voices of Kelsey Grammer, Eric Stonestreet, Aparna Nancherla, Ellie Kemper, Patton Oswalt and others. The animated series is set to premiere this fall, but IMDb will give a sneak peek of the new show featuring iconic movie monsters at Comic-Con later this month.
You’re Not a Monster shows that even movie monsters have emotional issues — because the only thing worse than being undead is being unloved. In the series, Grammer will take a seat in the therapist chair for the first time since his Frasier days as former psychiatrist-turned-vampire who mentors his great-great grandson Max (Stonestreet), a therapist who has inherited his practice.
Each episode will be four to five minutes and will feature Max treating familiar faces in the movie monster world including Frankenstein, The Invisible Man and Medusa as they seek desperately needed therapeutic help.

Judith Light, nominated for an Emmy this year, has revealed how she hid her emotions on "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" and how she reacted to being compared to a dog on "Broad City."
The actress, nominated for her performance as Marilyn Miglin in the "The Assassination of Gianni Versace," said of the crime drama: "When you’re playing a person who does not outwardly show their emotion, the challenge is in the holding it together ... to allow things to happen in the face and the body — whatever the feeling was — but not to show it."
Speaking to IMDb, Light also talked about the similarities of two different shows about family in which she starred: "Who's the Boss" and "Transparent."
"What’s happened with 'Who’s the Boss' was that there had not been a show on television that really showed where a woman could have her own life, her own job, own an advertising agency, and have someone at home, a man taking care of her," Light said.
"And then, with 'Transparent,' same thing. This is a new kind of family. Do you become the authentic person you believe yourself to be? Does your family stay with you? Those are fascinating questions to discuss."
Light also revealed how she felt about having an Afghan dog named after her in Comedy Central's "Broad City."
"I loved it! Somebody came to me and said: 'Do you know about Judith Light the dog?' They showed me the pictures, and I was hysterical. I felt iconic, I have to say. And the dog looks like me! It’s the blond and the eyes and the nose."
Light reveals more, including what she is watching right now, in her interview with "The IMDb Show." Click here to watch....
