Justin Timberlake explained how his son inspired “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” He also revealed an iconic musician influenced the track. While “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” was a hit, it may have had a negative impact on the singer’s career.
‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ was Justin Timberlake’s attempt to write a kid’s song
During a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the singer explained how marrying Jessica Biel and having a son, Silas, had a massive impact on his life. “It changes everything,” he explained. “You literally wake up and look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I’m doing.'”
“Can’t Stop the Feeling!” was inspired by Silas’ youthfulness. “I don’t know that it was directly inspired to be something that my son could listen to of mine, because there’s a lot of music he can’t listen to...

Together, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were one of the biggest celebrity couples of all time. That doesn’t mean that the relationship between Spears and the “SexyBack” singer was always easy. Spears revealed that Timberlake dumped her while she was in the middle of shooting one of her iconic music videos. The “…Baby One More Time” star said the incident impacted her for months.
Britney Spears said Justin Timberlake used her as ‘ammunition’
In her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me, Spears gave fans more insight into her relationship with Timberlake than ever before. “When Justin began making his first solo album, Justified, he started being very standoffish with me,” the “Womanizer” singer recalled. “I think that was because he’d decided to use me as ammunition for his record, and so it made it awkward for him to be around me staring at him with all that affection and devotion.

The Alien franchise is set to continue on the small screen with an “FX on Hulu” TV series from Fargo creator Noah Hawley, a show that began filming last year, then had to halt production after a month due to the actors strike. Filming resumed earlier this year, and continues to this day. A few months ago, we heard that Sandra Yi Sencindiver of Foundation had joined the cast to play “a senior member of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation” in multiple episodes… and in a new interview with Variety, Sencindiver said she believes that fans of Alien and Aliens will be pleased with what Hawley is doing with this show.
One of the first things we heard about the Alien TV series – and one of the most surprising things about it – is that it will actually be set on Earth, a couple decades before the events of the first movie. FX...

Britney Spears‘ impact on popular culture was so huge that she inspired many other songs by top 40 artists. For example, Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” is known to be about Spears and Timberlake’s relationship. The “Womanizer” singer revealed her thoughts on the song and its explosive music video. She also contrasted how the media treated her with how it treated Timberlake.

“Cry Me a River” is a song about infidelity. In the song’s music video, we see a Spears doppelganger. The message is not subtle. Timberlake was accusing Spears of cheating on him during their much-publicized relationship. In her 2023 book The Woman in Me, the “Oops!… I Did It Again” star explained her thoughts about the clip.

One of the biggest moments of Justin Timberlake‘s career was a song in a McDonald’s advertisement. The “4 Minutes” star regretted this decision. Regardless, he still felt the ads proved he was a trendsetter.
Justin Timberlake said he shouldn’t have taken McDonald’s desire to use his song seriously
Jingles aren’t art, but there’s an art to making a jingle. Some advertisements worked so well that they just became a part of the wider culture. One of them was the phrase “ba da ba ba ba, I’m lovin’ it.” If you went to McDonald’s in the 2000s, you thought of that song.
Chances are you assumed that song was another anonymous jingle. In fact, it was a Timberlake song called “I’m Lovin’ It.” Adding to the star power, the track was produced by Pharrell Williams. The song endeared the McDonald’s brand to millions...

Unfortunately, thanks to too many TV shows that shamelessly drag on for several seasons longer than they need to, many people believe that the longer a show goes on, the worse its quality becomes. When you look at some shows like ABC's Grey's Anatomy, it's hard to disagree.
However, over the years there have been some rare gems thrown into the mix. These shows are not only as good as they were in the beginning, but they get better the longer you watch them. Here are 8 that fans couldn't get enough of.
Breaking Bad (2008-2013)
One of the most classic choices, which doesn't make it any less valid. The show may be a little hard to get into, but the longer you watch, the more invested you become in the story, and the more devastated you are when the finale arrives.
What's even better is that Breaking Bad holds up over the years,...

Apple TV+ has yet another hit with Silo, a complex sci-fi series masterfully created by Graham Yost. Known for his acclaimed work on Band Of Brothers and Justified, Yost brings a unique vision to the post-apocalyptic genre. The World Inside a Silo Yost’s adaptation of Hugh Howey’s celebrated Wool novels constructs a world where roughly 10,000 survivors dwell inside a massive Silo. In a few words, not much. Well, that’s not entirely true, but this movie from The Raid’s Gareth Evans finished shooting way back in the fall of 2021. Havoc seems to have just disappeared once filming wrapped. It looks like the film will finally hit Netflix screens later this year. What took so long?
What’s It About?
The film looks to continue Evans’ run in the crime/action/thriller genre. This time around, a detective gets pulled into a drug deal gone wrong. When he starts investigating, he finds that a politician’s son is involved. While trying to figure out how the whole thing fits together, the detective finds a city-wide corruption scheme. He has to wade through it to ensure the kid gets out okay but keep himself safe from the politicians pulling the strings.

You can probably thank director Renny Harlin's "Die Hard 2" for the influx of vehicle-based "'Die Hard" riffs that flooded the market in the '90s, including those set on planes ("Air Force One"), trains ("Under Siege"), and automobiles ("Speed"). Director Jan de Bont's "Speed," in particular, might just represent the peak of this formula. The 30-year-old film saw the first-time helmer, who had previously honed his visual sensibilities as a cinematographer on the likes of "Cujo," "Black Rain," and "The Hunt for Red October," delivering a tight-as-hell, crowd-pleasing thrill ride.

Walton Goggins often portrays characters who transcend time and place, whether in modern day Kentucky, like in FX’s Justified, as career criminal Boyd Crowder, or in Civil War-era Wyoming in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, as plucky sheriff Billy Crash. In Fallout, though, he goes further: as The Ghoul, he is 200-year-old apocalypse survivor Cooper Howard, once a favored Western movie star, now a mutant bounty hunter. The two halves of this character combine in a captivating performance for which Goggins was happy to endure a torturous prosthetic.
\Deadline: How did you get involved with making Fallout?
Walton Goggins: It started with a conversation actually, a Zoom call, with Jonathan Nolan, Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner]. Justified often appears on lists of the best TV shows of the 2010s, and for good reason. The brilliant adaptation of Elmore Leonard's novels is both neo-western and neo-noir, exploring honor and justice in the modern world.
Eight years after its completion, a spin-off was released — the TV show City Primeval. The crime drama once again tells the story of Marshal Raylan Givens, who comes from Miami to Detroit, where he makes a dangerous enemy. The ruthless criminal escaped justice thanks to his lawyer and now plans to get rid of the annoying Givens.
Justified: City Primeval Season 2 Fate Is Still Unknown
Those who watched the first season of the spin-off will remember that Boyd Crowder, played by Walton Goggins, the legendary antagonist of the original series, appeared in the finale of City Primeval, which hinted at the future storyline of the second season.

After multiple attempts at kick-starting new trilogies of films have failed, the live-action Terminator film series is, understandably, taking a bit of a break… but the franchise is set to continue with an eight-episode anime series called Terminator Zero, which is coming our way from Japanese animation studio Production Ig and the Netflix streaming service. Terminator Zero is set to start streaming on August 29th – and with that date swiftly approaching, it has been revealed at the Next on Netflix: Animation event in Los Angeles that Timothy Olyphant provides the voice of the Terminator in this series!
Terminator Zero is set in the established Terminator universe but centers on new characters. Mattson Tomlin, who worked on the screenplays for The Batman and its upcoming sequel, is writer and showrunner on this series, which has the following synopsis: 2022: A future war has raged for decades between the few human survivors...

Four years ago, Rebel Moon filmmaker Zack Snyder and producing partner and wife Deborah Snyder met with Netflix executives to discuss possibilities in animation.
The medium was growing fast inside the company, as fast as its subscriber base. One exec threw out the idea of doing something with Norse mythology. Zack Snyder, who had spent much of his career making movies with grand mythological overtones, took to it. Partnering with storyboard artist and animation director Jay Oliva, the Snyders eventually came up with a love and revenge story titled Twilight of the Gods.
“We pitched them an outline; they had a few notes but they let us have free reign,” Deborah Snyder told The Hollywood Reporter at a Netflix animation event Thursday. “They had no guardrails, no limitations.”
That lack of guardrails or limitations may be the best way to describe the free-wheeling, anything and everything goes ethos that has overtaken Netflix’s animation arm.

Zack Snyder and Nathan Lane were among the filmmakers and cast members that joined Netflix’s animation presentation to preview a full slate of upcoming animated features and series, during an event held Thursday in Hollywood, just days before the start of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
“I love mythology,” said Snyder as he introduced a first look at his adult series “Twilight of the Gods.” On a scale like this, I feel like animation was the greatest way to tell the story.” The cast includes Sylvia Hoeks, Stuart Martin, Pilou Asbaek, John Noble, Paterson Joseph, Rahul Kohli, Jamie Clayton, Kristopher Hivju, Peter Stormare, Jamie Chung, Lauren Cohan and Corey Stoll.
Also playing well before the crowd was a first look at Netflix and Skydance Animation’s “Spellbound,” which will be released Nov. 22 and featured next week at Annecy. Nathan Lane introduced the clip from the movie, directed by Vicky Jensen,...

Jonathan Tucker, who played Mma fighter Alvey Kulina on DirecTV’s Kingdom, found himself in a real-life extreme situation this past Sunday when he observed a man roaming his Hancock Park neighborhood banging on doors and muttering to himself.
After calling police, Tucker went outside and, seeing his neighbor’s front door wide open went in to investigate. There he found a frightened little girl, whom he spirited to safety, before going back into help her mother “terrified, frantic” and an infant, whom he also helped to safety.
When the police arrived, they entered the home and soon located the man. He was reportedly taken into custody and placed on a psychiatric hold.
Contacted by Los Angeles magazine, Tucker was not having any of the “hero” talk.

Walton Goggins Says Making ‘The White Lotus’ Is ‘Meta on Every Level’: ‘We’re Guests…Playing Guests’

Walton Goggins has been around for a while. His first credited acting roles date back to 1992, when he would’ve only been 21, and his supporting turns on FX’s “The Shield” and “Justified” helped him craft an image that appealed to the likes of big-name directors like Quintin Tarantino and Steven Spielberg. Goggins, now 52, is taking on roles he never would’ve dreamed of, like his standout performance as The Ghoul in Amazon Prime’s television adaptation of the “Fallout” video-game series and an upcoming role in the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus.” However, in a recent interview with the LA Times, Goggins remembered a time in his career where his success wasn’t looking like a certainty.
“I was talking to my agent,” Goggins said, reflecting on a lull in work, “and asked him, ‘Why is it so hard?’ And he said, ‘It isn’t hard,...

10. 11.22.63 (2016)
A large part of Fallout’s charm is its retro futurism that makes use of the 1960–1970s aesthetic. If you’re a sucker for that aesthetic, look no further than 11.22.63: in this sci-fi drama, we travel into the past alongside James Franco to try and prevent Kennedy’s assassination… And grow terrifyingly close to his new life in the past.
You can watch 11.22.63 on Apple TV and Prime Video.
9. The Shield (2002–2008)
Another big hook of Fallout is the complete lawlessness of the Wasteland despite there being some people who call themself “the law.” If you’re into that whole “dirty and corrupt law enforcers” kind of thing, The Shield is for you: set in a fictional completely lawless district of LA, this show follows a unit of really, really bad cops.
You can watch The Shield on Hulu and Prime Video.

Despite negotiations for a fifth season of Walker, the limited budget became an insurmountable obstacle to filming the next season, even though the series is one of the most popular projects on the network.
The CW has officially canceled Walker, the release of the fourth season of which is now in full swing and the final episode of the project will be released on June 26.

There is no shortage of criminal characters on television, most of whom we are meant to root against and revile.
However, a select few are so charismatic and good at their jobs that they make us wonder if they are the true heroes of their shows.
These characters are in it for the long haul, living out in the open and evading capture.
They may build a business empire or just maintain the solitary life of a freelance assassin, but whatever they do, it's done with style and a certain "why didn't I think of that" cleverness.
A fair number of these criminals inhabit shows that carry their names, like Dexter, Barry, and Ripley.
But many more operate within larger fictitious worlds that center law-enforcement heroes and recognizable moral codes.
Here are four of our favorite smooth TV criminals. We definitely shouldn't love them as much as we do, but...

If you’re not caught up on your peak TV viewing, consider this your spoiler warning. Four months have passed since Jennifer Coolidge bagged her second consecutive Emmy for “The White Lotus” and thus became the eighth drama or comedy series regular honored by the TV academy for a season in which her character died. Emmy nominations of this kind have become quite common in recent years, and it’s possible that over 15% of the 2024 lead and supporting continuing series contenders will be added to the list.
The current consensus among more than 2,400 Gold Derby users is that five continuing series performers whose characters perished within the past year will receive Emmy nominations, while a few others have outside shots at recognition. This does not include characters like Anakin Skywalker who died before their shows’ latest seasons began but appear as ghosts or in flashbacks. Undead characters like most of...

Who says the pop star is dead? At his triumphant tour stop in Los Angeles Saturday night, Justin Timberlake led a revival for the reigning Prince of Pop, with a setlist of greatest hits and new material that proves the Grammy-winning entertainer is here to stay.
Timberlake took the stage shortly after 9 p.m. at Kia Forum in Inglewood, for the tenth stop on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, and the second of two nights in L.A. The sold-out tour, in support of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, was billed as a chance for fans to hear songs from the new LP along with “everyone’s favorite hits,” and Timberlake expertly blended them into a two-hour, feel-good fest.
Dressed in a glittery black suit and trousers, the singer opened with “No Angels,” a disco-lite cut off Eitiw that immediately had the crowd on its feet.

Blumhouse has announced a trio of upcoming horror movie release dates today, the first of which is the official date for the sequel to hit video game movie Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will release in theaters December 5, 2025.
Released in theaters and available for streaming on Peacock on the same day, the Emma Tammi-directed Five Night’s at Freddy’s was Blumhouse’s highest grossing movie of all time. In other words, it’s no surprise that the sequel was quickly greenlit.

Neon has done a great job of promoting the upcoming horror film Longlegs while also keeping the story’s secrets concealed. Although multiple teaser trailers and posters have made their way online, we still don’t know a whole lot about this movie, beyond the fact that it’s scheduled to reach theatres on July 12th. But if you want to know exactly how much we do know about it, just keep scrolling down, because we have compiled a list of Everything We Know About Longlegs.

Longlegs, which is said to be “in the vein of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers”, is the latest genre project from director Osgood Perkins – who, yes, is the son of actor Anthony Perkins, best remembered for his performance as Norman Bates in the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho. Walton Goggins, the ghoulish antihero of Prime Video's Fallout series, has become an unexpected sex symbol with the show's success.
Undoubtedly, the reason is the character of Ghoul. Goggins combines a hardened survivalist's anarchic mind with a Hollywood cowboy's rustic stoicism.
He feels like Ronald Reagan channeling John Wayne, like a man at the end of his days who sticks around for one more horseback ride.
The resignation in his attitude drives his character, not to mention the characters around him who react to his infamy and monstrous appearance. He's the new face of anarchy and arguably the first mainstream character to embody the spirit of anarchy with such a genteel facade.
You must be in love with Cooper Howard, aka The Ghoul, because you've seen Walton Goggin's face many times.
He's been in countless movies since the 1990s, usually playing morally confused or at least ambiguous characters. He has...

Prime Video’s latest sensation, the Fallout TV show sparked a new interest to the iconic video game franchise in millions of people who haven’t even heard about it previously — and launched quite a few careers sky-high. One of the show’s lead stars, Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) found herself under the spotlight thanks to it…
Except that in 2014, the young actress was already working with Angelina Jolie.
Ella Purnell Starred in Maleficent
You read it right: the Fallout lead star did a movie with Angelina Jolie back in the day, and not just any movie. 2014’s Maleficent, one of Jolie’s last movies before she effectively quit acting, saw Ella Purnell play the same character as the former queen of Hollywood — Purnell starred in it as the younger version of Maleficent herself.
Maleficent wasn’t the young actress’ first rodeo, either. Before that, in 2010, she starred in minor...

One of the audience’s favorite genres is western, without doubt. But even the hardcore fans can’t say for sure what it is that makes them fall in love with it in the first place. The captivating macho-cowboy stories that are intertwined with classy romances, or the landscapes and horse riding scenes…
Seems like it’s the mix of all that stuff that creates that special atmosphere on screen, the one you want to come back to. But the thing is that the genre is now transformed into many subgenres, with the most popular among them being neo-westers or weird westerns.
Let’s talk about the latter.
What Is a Weird Western Exactly?
Well, the perfect answer is given by Prime Video with its 2022 creation Outer Range. It’s the perfect combination of classic, traditional western mixing in with sci-fi mysteries that are yet to be fully explored.

How do Hollywood creators forge massive universes for their characters? For Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of “For All Mankind” and “Outlander,” it all began with the question: What if the Russians landed on the moon first? From this starting point, “For All Mankind” was born. Moore and his team explored their alternate timeline, weaving cultural, societal, and political shifts with historical events, crafting a rich universe for the Apple+ TV series.
Diving deeper into the intricacies of world-building for Variety’s Sony FYC Showcase, Moore was joined on the “Building a Television Universe” panel by “For All Mankind” co-showrunners and exec producers Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, as well as Maril Davis, who serves as an exec producer on both “For All Mankind” and “Outlander.” Also on the panel: “Justified: City Primeval” co-showrunners and exec producers Michael Dinner and Dave Andron, as well as Sony Pictures TV drama development exec VP Andrew Plotkin.

Running for 6 seasons from 2010-2015, Justified was a popular neo-Western that still holds a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and regularly pulled in over 2 million viewers.
Throughout the series, Raylan Givens (played by Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) were one-time colleagues but now adversaries. Crowder, a career criminal, was a recurring character in Season 1 who became a regular in Season 2 and was at odds with lawman Givens.
As the series went on, though, it appears the fictional rivalry spilled out into the actors' real lives.
The two 'weren't talking' by the end of the show
In an interview with The Independent, Goggins (who's currently filming the next season of White Lotus) said the pair 'had a tough time towards the end of Justified' as they were 'so deep into these people we were playing, and they were polar opposites'.

The days are getting longer everywhere, except Palm Springs, where darkness is on the ascent each May. That’s when the city plays host to the Arthur Lyons Film Noir Festival, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary May 9-12 with a program of a dozen classic films from the 1940s and ’50s. Great directors like Alfred Hitchcock, Robert Rossen, Andre de Toth and Anthony Mann and stars like Humphrey Bogart, John Garfield, Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Ryan will have desert dwellers and visitors alike eager to blot out the sun for four days, culminating in the festival’s customary Mother’s Day crime spree.
As always, the festival is curated and hosted by a face familiar to any serious modern-day noir aficionado, Alan K. Rode, one of the principals of the Film Noir Foundation and a co-host of the Noir City festival every April in Hollywood. Rode’s Noir City cohort,...

Walton Goggins is an extremely well-known and respected actor. While he has been making headlines recently through his work in Fallout, other iconic works have helped him become the star that he is today. One of the best examples is his hit series, Justified, which ran for six seasons and became very critically acclaimed.
Walton Goggins in Fallout
In the hit series, the actor played the role of Boyd Crowder, alongside Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens. The pair naturally became very close through the filming of the series. However, by the end of the shooting, it would seem that there was a very apparent drift between them, and the reason for it is quite interesting.
When Is Method Acting Too Much?
The obsessive artist is a concept often talked about. Seen in cinema through works like Black Swan, Whiplash, and I, Tonya, it has been captured in several mediums; however,...

Upon sweeping the four main drama acting categories at the 2021 Emmy Awards, “The Crown” stars Olivia Colman, Josh O’Connor, Gillian Anderson, and Tobias Menzies all joined a special roster of lead or supporting TV academy honorees who were not part of their shows’ original casts. As members of the expansive Netflix series’ second of three distinct ensembles, this quartet and their co-stars were replaced ahead of season five by a new group of actors, some of whom could be added to said exclusive winners club later this year.

Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant starred in Justified for six seasons, but by the end of its FX run, the actors were not on the best of terms.
Goggins first opened up about his fractured relationship with his co-star in Peter Biskind’s book Pandora’s Box: How Guts, Guile, and Greed Upended TV. In a new interview, Goggins once again said he and Olyphant “weren’t talking” by the show’s series finale.
“We had a tough time towards the end of Justified,” Goggins told The Independent. “We were so deep into these people we were playing, and they were so polar opposite at this point in the story… I think we were both obsessed with our own points of view, just carrying the weight of this conflict.”

The cast of season two of Tulsa King keeps building, as Neal McDonough has signed on to appear as a series regular of the Paramount+ series.
The news that McDonough would be joining the cast of Tulsa King comes just one month after it was announced that Frank Grillo – who plays Brock Rumlow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – would be playing a vital role in season two, taking on the role of a mobster named Bill Bevilaqua. As for McDonough’s role, Variety reports that he will be playing “a powerful and extremely territorial businessman” named Cal Thresher.
McDonough has been a staple on television for a few decades now, with recurring roles on World War II miniseries Band of Brothers, animated series The Incredible Hulk, ABC’s Desperate Housewives, western Justified, and more.

A deserted road in the middle of the endless expanse of the American outback. Two opponents in hats face each other. Each is ready at a moment's notice to pull the trigger and send the enemy to the next world. Scenes like these take us back to a time when sheriffs and marshals were little different from criminals.
It's hard to imagine something like this in the 21st century, but Justified manages to tell the classic story of the Wild West in modern Kentucky in the most realistic and effective way possible. The premiere took place in 2010 and the finale was shown in 2015, but the series still deserves attention nine years after it ended.
Justified is not put on the same level as recognized masterpieces like The Sopranos or Breaking Bad, although at its best, this grandiose neo-western is no inferior to even the most popular TV series in history.
