It’s summer time on Hulu and that can only mean one thing. With its list of new releases for June 2023, Hulu is bringing back last summer’s unexpected hit.

Season 2 of last summer’s hit breakout series “The Bear” is set to premiere on Hulu on Thursday, June 22. After a tumultuous return to his family’s hole-in-the-wall Chicago restaurant, chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his staff transform the greasy sandwich joint into a first-class dining experience after he discovers the slush fund his brother left behind. Despite having the extra money to make his dreams a reality, the future proves to be both a personal and professional challenge for Carmy and the crew.
Watch the trailer for Season 2 of “The Bear”:
Beginning on June 14, the new series continuation of the beloved film “The Full Monty” arrives on Hulu. It’s 25 years later and the men and women of Sheffield, England, are in reboot mode, navigating life and family. The original 1997 movie focused on a group of down-on-their-luck, blue-collar men who put on a strip show to make ends meet.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" first hit the airwaves in 1993, and even though that original iteration of Rangers didn't last all that long, the series has remained remarkably enduring. 30 years later, the series has aired nearly 1,000 episodes through its various iterations, has inspired hundreds of issues of comics books, millions in toy sales, and is truly a globally recognized brand with huge staying power. Still, the franchise has never managed to fully crack the code in making the jump to movies.
Two films, the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie in 1995 and "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie," did fine enough by '90s "kids movies based on a show" standards, which were ultimately more about selling toys and copies of the films on VHS.

Just a few weeks out from the debut of the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunion, Once and Always, actress Amy Jo Johnson (better known to many as the Pink Ranger aka Kimberly Hart) is yet again explaining why she wasn’t part of the moment, debunking any rumors that have come her way.
In a Twitter post from this week, Amy Jo Johnson wrote, “Please stop saying I didn’t do reunion because of money Simply not true. Maybe I just didn’t want to wear spandex in my 50s…or couldn’t go to Nz for a month.Or none of ur beeswax…Jdf & I both chose not to for our own reasons. They filmed before he passed”.

Power Rangers legend Jason David Frank died last month.
At the time, there were conflicting reports about how the actor died.
Frank's wife, Tammie Frank, revealed in a statement to People this week that the actor died by suicide.
“While Jason was a well-known name to some, we lived a very normal life with ups and downs, just like anyone else,” Tammie said, adding that she has been harassed online since the news broke.
“It has shocked and saddened me beyond belief to see that the media has turned my family’s tragedy into a tall tale."
"Since Jason’s death, I have been harassed online and can no longer stand to watch my husband’s good name slandered.”
Tammie revealed that the couple had been considering parting ways following the sudden death of her daughter Shayla, which “wrecked our family emotionally.”

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And with its list of new releases for December 2022, Hulu is planning accordingly.
Compared to its rival streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and HBO Max, Hulu is a bit more holiday forward in the final month of 2022. Sure, all the streaming services are bringing some Christmas content to the table, but Hulu is the only one to plant its flag in a special called It’s a Wonderful Binge. This comedic take on a psychedelic Purge-like Christmas is set to premiere on Dec. 8.
Elsewhere on Hulu this month, subscribers can look forward to the release of FX’s Kindred (Dec. 13). Based on a thrilling novel of the same name, this series follows a woman being violently yanked back and forth in time. In what’s increasingly become a tradition, Canadian comedy Letterkenny will premiere a new season the day after Christmas.

HBO Max has a major job on its hands to justify its approximately $15 a month subscription fee, especially given the strong competition out there from established names like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Disney Plus faced a similar challenge last year in arriving onto an already-saturated streaming marketplace, but at least had the advantage of major series like The Mandalorian to promote. While HBO Max will eventually be home to the Snyder cut of Justice League, and has some originals for its first week of availability, the big draw right now is its enormous back-catalogue of movies.
Given the various corporate elements that are going into HBO Max, including the Warner Bros. library, owners AT&T will be hoping that the combination of brand recognition for HBO programming, and a deep bench of movies, will convince people to add a new subscription to their list. Welcome to the HBO Max era! WarnerMedia’s streaming giant arrived on May 27 and is absolutely bursting with Warner movies, TV shows, and other titles. But time waits for no man or streaming service and each new month HBO Max will be expected to bring new content to the table. Things get started in June 2020 with the first batch of HBO Max new releases.
To be clear, the majority of the original series coming to HBO Max actually belongs to HBO. Shows like I May Destroy You (June 7), Perry Mason (June 21), and I’ll Be Gone in the Dark (June 28) all belong to HBO…which now just happens to be a part of HBO Max. Confusing stuff, we know, but rest assured that if you have HBO Max you’ll get these shows…and if you only have HBO, you can go ahead and just get HBO Max for the same price anyway.

Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot didn’t do big enough business when it arrived in 2017 to warrant a sequel, but it’s still inspired a strong following of fans online who constantly lament the loss of what could’ve been a fresh take on the mighty morphin franchise. It’s especially sad as the set-up for more was right there in the film’s post-credits scene, which teased the introduction of the coolest Ranger ever – Tommy Oliver Aka the Green Ranger.
We never got to see this new version of Tommy, but fan artists have imagined what he could’ve looked like in Power Rangers 2. First of all, back in March, concept artist Sanit Klamchanuan shared his take on the Green Ranger suit. And now, Awedope Arts has created a super-detailed 3D design based on this art, which gives us a realistic feel for how the character would’ve looked.

The last Power Rangers film failed to resonate with audiences, but now the franchise will be getting another reboot with some significant changes. The lineup will be pretty different this time around and though no casting has been announced just yet, Paramount is reportedly interested in a black actress taking on the role of the Yellow Ranger.
Fans of the long-running franchise have seen the members of the team change several times, of course. Every new chapter calls for some fresh talent, and Paramount’s upcoming Power Rangers reboot will look to start over after the less than stellar 2017 film from Lionsgate.
For the upcoming reinvention, our sources – the same ones who said Jim Carrey’s Mask will cameo in Space Jam 2 and a new Scream movie is in the works, both of which are now confirmed – tell us that Paramount is reportedly eyeing a black actress to play the Yellow Ranger.

Following Hasbro buying the brand from Saban a couple of years ago, Paramount is working on a new Power Rangers reboot that won’t have anything to do with the Lionsgate movie from 2017. At the end of last year, we finally got some details about the project as well, with The Hollywood Reporter confirming that Jonathan Entwistle is attached to direct based on a script from Patrick Burleigh.
The plot will put a unique twist on the franchise and feature a bunch of modern-day Rangers being sent back into the 1990s, where – in classic Back to the Future style – they have to work out how to return to their own time. That’s all that THR told us, however, so it was unclear whether the film’s period setting would have any connection to the original Mighty Morphin series. We Got This Covered can now report, though, that this looks to be the case.

Before filming began, the most famous Power Ranger of all time had a very familiar name.
Tommy Oliver, a name that will be forever synonymous with Power Rangers. Beginning as the evil Green Ranger and wearing a variety of colors throughout the years, Tommy is without question the most popular Ranger of all time. It makes sense, you don’t go through wearing five Ranger suits and not pick up a lot of popularity. (Even if he didn't quite make it to the top of our Best Red Rangers list.)
But did you know Tommy Oliver wasn’t always going to be the Green Ranger’s name? Yes, that’s right; Kimberly could have been swooning after a man with a different name! What other name could have been used for Tommy though? It’s almost impossible to think about, Tommy Is the Green Ranger.
Well, thanks...

Earlier this year, we saw the return of the beloved TV franchise Power Rangers to the big screen. It was the first theatrically-released film since Turbo: A Power Rangers movie in 1997 20 years prior. As such, fans and film lovers watched to see how if the world would accept this new interpretation. The trailers for the film were solid, and it seemed like it could do decently well at the box office.
Sadly, it received a soft $40 million opening, and only went on to gross $140 million worldwide on its $100 million budget. In terms of the film itself, it likely lost a decent amount of money once you took the advertising costs into account. However, it can’t be forgotten what the real moneymakers are here: the toys. There’s a reason why toy companies would invent a TV series around their made up figures — because they served as 30-minute commercials for the Real product.

Twenty years after the last Power Rangers theatrical release, the sci-fi series returns with an updated visual style and reconfigured storyline, as the Saban Entertainment property moves from 20th Century Fox to Lionsgate. By now you probably all know I have a soft spot for ridiculous shark movies, be they from Roger Corman, The Asylum, Syfy or anyone else… Which is why I always Have to subject myself to whatever treasures this disparate genre provide. Be it a Zombie Shark, Ghost Shark, Sharknado, Sharktopus, a 3-Head Shark, a Swamp Shark etc., etc…. whatever!?!
This time round we’ve got killer sharks and an environmental message in Ice Sharks. A Syfy channel originjal movie from The Asylum (so its a low-budget double-header) which sees a team of expert scientists are studying the effects of climate change on marine life at a research station deep in the Arctic. The Power Rangers are huge. To many it's simply remembered as that extremely '90s kids show where teens got orders from a giant floating head to put on spandex and go fight lumpy monsters that kept popping up in the middle of the desert. There have been over 20 different versions of Power Rangers TV shows since the Mighty Morphin days of the early '90s. Granted, they pretty much all follow the same formula of teens fighting monsters, but still, Power Rangers has been on the air in one form or another every year for the past 23 years. That's impressive. As consistent as the TV side of things has been, however, there have only been two actual Power Rangers movies: 1995's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Both...

When I asked a number of box office experts last week how those scathing reviews would affect Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's opening weekend gross, all of them agreed that the effect on the film's commercial prospects would likely be negligible (at least in the early going). And guess what? They were right! Despite a dismal 28% "Rotten" score on Rotten Tomatoes, the superhero film felled a number of box office records in its debut. Still, 28% is a truly awful score, and so I got curious: what previous superhero films have an even lower percentage on Rotten Tomatoes than the Zack Snyder-directed mashup? After a quick scan, here's the abysmal list I came up with: Fantastic Four (2005) 27% Punisher: War Zone (2008) 27% Ghost Rider (2007) 26% Green Lantern (2011) 26% Blade: Trinity (2004) 25% Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) 21% Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) 21% Spawn (1997) 19% Judge Dredd (1995) 18% Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012) 17% Superman III (1983) 17% Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie...

Dean Israelite is in talks to direct the upcoming Power Rangers Movie reboot.
The Project Almanac director will take on the film based around the '90's TV show The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, reports The Wrap.
The show's premise was based around a group of high school kids who were chosen to protect the earth from an alien invasion.
They were able to morph into warrior fighters and were able to power giant robots called Zords.
The script has been penned by X Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller.
Zack Stentz and Haim Saban, Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur are all signed on to produce the reboot.
The 2016 film will mark the third theatrical release for the franchise.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie was released in 1995 and starred the original cast.
Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie followed in 1997 but failed to have the same success the first outing had.

Another little slice of your childhood is returning to the big screen. Lionsgate has announced a July 22, 2016 release date for its forthcoming "Power Rangers" reboot, which is being written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz ("X-Men: First Class") for executive-producer Robert Orci (who came up with the story for the new version). As with the original series, the show will focus on a group of five teenagers who become defenders of the Earth after being granted extraterrestrial powers. The release date will pit the film against Warner Bros.' "King Arthur" movie directed by Guy Ritchie. The announcement comes only days after the Michael Bay-produced reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" - another beloved franchise dating back to the early '90s - stunned box-office prognosticators with a better-than-expected $65 million launch in the U.S. The "Power Rangers" franchise kicked off with the hugely-popular "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" TV...

Lionsgate announced back in May that they will be developing a new big screen adaptation of Power Rangers. THR is now reporting that the studio has hired X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz to write the project, and they've also brought on Roberto Orci (Star Trek Into Darkness, Transformers) as an executive producer.
Saban launched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a live-action TV series over 20 years ago, and the series has been in continuous production ever since. My kids absolutely love this series, and they were beside themselves with joy when I told them a movie was being made.
It's great that they got a couple of talented writers to work on this thing. It means there's a really good chance it will turn out better than the previous two movies released by 20th Century Fox: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995 and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie...

There's a movie reboot of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers coming. But is it a good idea, ponders Pete...?

There was a period during the 1990s when it was impossible to avoid the unstoppable juggernaut that was the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. I never even tried; my walls were full of posters of the spandex-clad superheroes, my Christmas list was full of robot toys my parents never had a hope of buying, and my stomach was full of whatever food I’d managed to slip into the shopping trolley because it had the Power Rangers logo on it that week.
It is an understatement, then, to say that I was rather excited by yesterday’s news that Saban Brands has teamed with Lionsgate to produce a new Power Rangers movie for the 21st century. But is this going to be a good thing, or should the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers,...

Lionsgate announced today that it's developing a new live-action Power Rangers movie with Saban Entertainment, the show's production company. The "new film franchise" will "re-envision" the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the announcement says, though the exact mode of re-envisionment is not specified. The two previous Power Rangers movies — 1995's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and 1997's Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie — are both deeply terrible, so there's no real way to screw this up. What would be great, though, would be if Amy Jo Johnson could reprise her role as Kimberly, who may be now serving as some kind of teacher or mentor to the new generation of MMPRs ...

Go, go Power Rangers! If those words inspire fond memories of the early 1990s, then you’ll be thrilled to know that everyone’s favorite costumed kung fu fighters are about to return to the big screen for an all new adventure. Saban, the company that brought the colorfully clad Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to the world, has teamed up with Lionsgate to reveal plans for a brand new live-action adventure film. Given the still-rabid fanb ase for the Rangers, and the popularity of superhero movies, this makes sense. The show has been spun off into comics, video games, toys and more since its 1993 debut. It even had earlier feature film versions, with the release of 1995’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and 1997’s Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie....

It's been 17 years since any form of the always changing Power Rangers have hit the big screen. The original American TV series adaptation of the Japanese live-action action adventure series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger was a mind-blowing success in the 90s, becoming a pop culture sensation in no time. And when something is that popular, it heads to the big screen and became Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995 and was followed two years later by the new iteration of the heroes in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Now Lionsgate and Saban Brands are teaming for a new live-action Power Rangers film. The two companies made the announcement today revealing the the feature film will "re-envision" the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. For those who aren't children of the 90s or haven't seen any of the 17 different themed versions of the characters on television, every series follows group of high...

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are returning to the big screen in a new live action film. Yes, Lionsgate and Saban Brands announced this morning that the Power Rangers franchise is going to be coming back to a theater near you in the not too distant future. The television series that started the multimedia franchise was launched more than 20 years ago, and has been running in some form continuously since that time. There have even already been two films produced, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" in 1995 and "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" in 1997. According to the press release, "The new film franchise will re-envision the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of high school kids who are infused with unique and cool super powers but must harness and use those powers as a team if they have any hope of saving the world." There is no word in the...

Haim Saban is buying back the Power Rangers from Walt Disney with the hope to take the entertainment franchise that he launched to TV and toy stardom in the 1990s to new fans.
His Saban Capital Group is also taking it to Viacom's Nickelodeon as the new U.S. home for the series, which is heading into its 18th season with a new cast and the goal to rejuvenate the fading franchise.
Library episodes of the show will start airing on Nicktoons later this year, with 20 new episodes set for Nickelodeon and Nicktoons in 2011 under the direction of original executive producer Jonathan Tzachor.
Saban is buying the franchise in a renewal of his collaboration with Toei Co., the creator of the original Japanese Power Rangers TV show and an underlying rights-holder.
Financial terms weren't disclosed, but the price tag is believed to be less than $100 million. Nickelodeon in a deal...
