- Not really violence, but James is sometimes a little bit rough with his methods of discipling JJ and Michael. It's a product of its time and not violent though.
- One violent episode involves JJ being shot by the Vice Lords. It's brutally violent and we see the aftermath. A little blood but not much.
- One episode features Penny, a cute girl, getting abused by her mother, and we see her wounds. Not pleasant.
