Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette is going to be an emotional roller coaster. The 26-year-old is searching for her soulmate, and her road to true love is definitely not going to be a boring one. Ahead of the Season 21 premiere, Jenn spoke with TV Insider about her journey and reacted to how it all unfolded. “I kid you not, I think the entire journey, every other day, I was like, ‘I need to hold onto my seat because something else is gonna happen,'” Jenn said. “I was just constantly surprised by the men, by myself, by my decisions. It was just constant growth, and there was something happening every day. I would say that I know I might be biased, but I definitely think that my journey was full of a lot of twists and turns for sure.” Jenn first became a member of Bachelor Nation as...

The finale of Hulu’s basketball docudrama Clipped didn’t provide much of a happy ending for anyone, from Clippers owners Donald and Shelly Sterling all the way down to coach Doc Rivers and his players.
Let’s start with Doc and the team, who are facing a big playoff series against Oklahoma City, but the players are distracted by Donald’s disastrous TV interview with Anderson Cooper. (He tells Anderson, “I think you’re more of a racist than I am,” and scoffs at the mention of Magic Johnson: “Well, he’s got AIDS!”) Donald claims his players still love him,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Bear Season 3, Episode 10, “Forever.”] The Bear‘s third season may not have delivered the SydCarmy storyline some fans were rooting for, but it did serve up another delectable option in the form of Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Luca’s (Will Poulter) blossoming connection. Admittedly, when watching this series, I’ve never seen the bonds between characters as romantic. Sure, there’s a definite connection between cooks Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney, but perhaps it’s more about culinary soulmate-ism than actual romantic potential. I even predicted that the series might venture into less romantic and more convenient avenues for possible shock value, but my perspective shifted a bit in the third season’s finale episode, “Forever.” During the installment which saw Carmy, Sydney, and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) attend the “funeral” for Chef Terry’s (Olivia Colman) restaurant, Ever, several other chefs were featured, including Luca, who makes his...

A playful take on the dishy celebrity cameo, John Cena’s part in “The Bear” is an acquired taste.
The legendary WWE champion — whose acting credits now include a top-line superhero in the DC Extended Universe — appears as Carmy’s beefy cousin Sammy Fak in Season 3, Episode 5, “Children.” The 6’ 1” supporting player arrives in the elite fine-dining epic created by Christopher Storer seemingly out of nowhere, but it’s really just the latest course in a string of smart casting choices that make up Cena’s quietly brilliant career.
“Anybody seen a ghost?” asks Sammy, his hulking frame filling the restaurant side-door.
It’s a jarring scene that has drawn cheers as well as criticism online. Some audiences are delighted to see Cena in their favorite TV show. By box office and general reputation, he’s a crowd favorite if there ever was one, even among non-wrestling fans. Others, however, have...

What do Seth Meyers’ “Late Night” band and the MTV News archives have in common? More than you might think.
Both are among some of the tiny business cuts that have been making their way through the media industry in recent weeks as companies like NBCUniversal, Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery try to winnow down costs while their main flows of revenue — cash from advertising and distribution — grow less reliable.
Most late-night shows have a band — one of the de rigueur elements that have been in place since Johnny Carson held sway with Doc Severinsen. But Meyers’ 12:30 a.

Anthony Michael Hall was one of the notable Brat Pack figures not featured in Andrew McCarthy’s documentary Brats. Hall, who rose to fame in classic ’80s teen films like Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, spoke with TV Insider about why he decided not to participate in the documentary. “I was asked to be a part of it, but you know what, I’ll tell you my attitude is you have to wish everyone success. It was just something I chose not to do because I’m always trying to move forward and make new things and do new stuff,” Hall said. He added, “The truth is, I’ve had to embrace the John Hughes period of my life all my career, and I’m happy to do so, obviously, as I’ve hopefully relayed here. It’s never been an issue for me. “Bridgerton,” “Bridgerton,” “Bridgerton.” That’s what Netflix’s Top 10 Most Popular TV (English) list looks like now.
Season 3 of the Shondaland period drama has now entered the streamer’s all-time list at number 10, booting “Baby Reindeer” and joining “Bridgerton” Seasons 1 and 2 on the leaderboard.
“Bridgerton” is the only series with three seasons on Netflix’s top 10 all-time list. “Stranger Things” is well-represented with Seasons 3 and 4, but its first two seasons came out before Netflix began to share viewership statistics.
Like many of its biggest shows, Netflix split “Bridgerton” Season 3 into two parts. Part 1 debuted on May 16; Part 2 launched on June 13.
Netflix’s top 10 is based on number of views over a TV season or a film’s first 91 days of availability — both “Bridgerton” Season 3 halves still have plenty of time to rack up more views in pursuit of the preceding seasons. “Baby Reindeer” has just a few days left before Netflix’s self-imposed cutoff.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been friends since they were in elementary school, and now they’re bringing that friendship to Netflix. The duo are re-teaming for new crime thriller Rip, from writer-director Joe Carnahan. The film will be produced by Artists Equity, the artist-led studio that Damon and Affleck founded in 2022.
Damon and Affleck met as neighbors in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and quickly became close pals; as Damon recalled to Conan O’Brien in 2019, the future Batman came to his rescue in a schoolyard fight. “I remember that was like a big moment,” Damon said. “He will put himself in a really bad spot. This is a good friend.”
Soon, of course, Damon and Affleck wound up in much better spots together, winning an Oscar for co-writing Good Will Hunting and then heading on parallel trajectories to stardom. The pair may seem inseparable, but they’ve played...

Are you ready to be lured by Sirens?
Academy Award–winning actor Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock are set to star in the upcoming female-driven series Sirens. They’ll be joined by Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton.
Sirens will be the first project from Maid showrunner Molly Smith Metzler’s creative partnership with Netflix — and it sounds like we’ll get a good dose of rich people behaving badly.

Social media influencer Ali Abulaban let online fame and jealous rage consume him as seen in the recently released TikTok Star Murders. The Peacock documentary delves into the case of the TikTok star, formally known as “Jinnkid,” who was convicted of shooting his estranged wife Ana, and her friend, Rayburn Cardenas Barron in 2021. This project comes from Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and G-Unit Films & Television, Inc., in participation with Lusid Media. The events that led up to the tragic double murder are chronicled through never-before-aired and unsettling cellphone footage and audio. Friends and family of Ali and Ana speak about the couple’s often turbulent relationship. Experts including forensic psychologist Dr. Joni Johnston provide perspective on where there may have been warning signs. Sentencing for Ali was initially set a few days after the doc’s release. However, the date was moved to September 6 after his attorney requested a postponement.

Sex, drugs, and investment banking. Must mean “Industry” is (finally) back.
In Season 3, Pierpoint & Co. turns toward ethical investing, but probably not for the ethics. Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) are tasked with taking green-tech energy company Lumi, led by Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), to the public markets. But before it can IPO, questions about the company’s finances reach the media, and Sir Henry’s pleasant-appearing disposition is overtaken by a much darker personality. Still, there’s nothing like some shirtless handball to blow off some steam.
Meanwhile, Harper (Myha’la) is no longer with Pierpoint, but she’s not out of the game yet. In a lengthy teaser released Tuesday by HBO, it looks like her and Eric may have another go at this whole finance thing. But first, he and Robert have to do some primal screaming.

The Price Is Right tactic of bidding $1 more than a rival contestant on the show has long been a viable strategy, but on Monday’s (July 1) episode, one player might have taken it too far. The contestant in question was Danielle Wagner, who was the first person of the night to be called down to the stage. After failing to win anything in the first two rounds of Contestant’s Row, Wagner changed up her strategy by using the $1 bid method. For those unfamiliar, this tactic involves a contestant bidding one dollar higher than the previous contestant’s bid to try and secure a win without going over the actual retail price. It can be a risky strategy but one that can often pay off if other contestants have overestimated their bids. On three separate occasions, Wagner bid just $1 more than the previous bidder, going $551 over $550, $527 over $526, and $2,001 over $2,000. Eventually,...

“The Sandman” is adding several new cast members to its already growing lineup for Season 2, and these actors will be playing characters introduced in fan-favorite storylines from Neil Gaiman’s beloved DC graphic novel series, including Ruairi O’Connor, who has been cast as the son of Tom Sturridge’s Dream.
Netflix announced on its Tudum website Tuesday that O’Connor will play Orpheus : “the poet, musician, and oracle, is the only child of Dream and the muse, Calliope. Orpheus is an idealistic, romantic, young man – and very much his father’s son – until tragedy strikes and reveals to him the true nature of love.

America’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara were blown away by 8-year-old jazz dancer Boss Baby Brody, who took to the stage for a “spectacular” performance that earned him four yeses. In an early release clip of Tuesday’s (July 2) episode posted on the NBC talent show’s YouTube channel, Brody, from San Diego, California, owned the stage as he showed off his impressive dance moves to the Queen classic “Don’t Stop Me Now.” By the end of his performance, Brody had the entire live audience and all four judges on their feet. “Brody, you are absolutely incredible,” Klum told Brody. “You used that whole big stage all for yourself. You did the face expressions… perfection.” Vergara was equally impressed, adding, “What was that? It was spectacular. I feel you were not only dancing, but you were also doing gymnastics and a little...

If recent Jeopardy! champion Drew Basile wants a chance to beat super-champ Adriana Harmeyer in the next Tournament of Champions, there is one area he needs to improve on, according to 2017 Toc winner Buzzy Cohen. Basile’s seven-game winning streak came to an end last Friday (June 28) as he blundered on the Final Jeopardy question. Despite this loss, the Survivor alum had already cemented his spot in the next Toc, where he could very well come against recent 15-game winner Harmeyer. Speaking on the latest edition of Inside Jeopardy! podcast, Cohen and Jeopardy! producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss compared Basile and Harmeyer’s stats, with Foss pointing out how, “One stat that isn’t quite as great for Drew is Final Jeopardy.” “Obviously, with so many runaways, he didn’t need it very much, but he was only three for eight [on Fj], so about 38 percent,” she added. “When you compare that to Adriana,...

Joey Graziadei wants fans to know he’s “not broke” and his credit score is just fine, despite it previously bombing while he was away filming The Bachelor for three months. The reality star took to his Instagram Stories on Monday (July 1), where he posted a video (as part of an ad for a credit and financial management platform) claiming he is “not broke” and is living with his fiancée Kelsey Anderson and her roommates “out of choice.” This comes after Anderson, who received Graziadei’s final rose on the latest season of The Bachelor, appeared on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast last month and discussed her and Graziadei’s current living situation. “He was just living with his sister, so I was like, ‘You can move in with me,’” Anderson shared. “I have a very big room, and my roommates were all in. Oprah Winfrey has been recalling how her first appearance on The Tonight Show back in 1985 ended up being traumatic after guest host Joan Rivers body-shamed her by telling her to “lose 15 lbs.” Speaking on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, the Oscar-nominated actress and media mogul revealed how she appeared on the late-night show around the time when she thought she’d just lost out on a role in Steven Spielberg‘s The Color Purple due to her weight. While she was on The Tonight Show to talk about her program, A.M. Chicago, the conversation soon turned to Winfrey’s size. “Joan Rivers turns to me, and she says, ‘Tell me why are you so fat?’” Winfrey told Lima, per People. “On national television… and I don’t know what to do with that. I just did, like, ’Oh, I just love potato chips, Joan.’” Winfrey continued, saying Rivers told her,...

NBCUniversal just closed a big addition to Peacock’s library. As of June 30, all seven seasons of TNT’s The Closer are available to stream on the service. Airing from 2005 to 2012, The Closer starred Kyra Sedgwick as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, leader of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Priority Homicide Division (later the Major Crimes Division). Sedgwick earned five back-to-back Emmy nominations for her performance — winning the gold in 2010 — and The Closer begat the long-running spinoff Major Crimes. If you’re looking for a substantial Closer binge, consider these 10 episodes, which IMDb users have rated as the best of the best, the series finale included. 10. American Idol judge Luke Bryan has revealed some big names who he says have “been in talks” to replace Katy Perry, who left the ABC singing competition series back in May after seven seasons. In a new interview with Billboard, the country singer said he has heard “several names” who have been in talks with Disney about taking over Perry’s spot, and it includes some big hitters. “I’ve said several names. I think P!nk has been in the talks, Miley Cyrus has been in the talks, Meghan Trainor has been in the talks,” Bryan told the publication. He went on to say that Disney has kept things close to the chest when it comes to the new judging panel, to the point where he doesn’t even know if he or fellow judge Lionel Richie will be coming back. “It’s been interesting. It’s been something...

Rising star Rhea Norwood, known for her role in Netflix’s “Heartstopper,” is captivating audiences at London’s West End as Sally Bowles in the revival of “Cabaret,” a part she describes as her “dream role.”
“Cabaret,” set in 1930s Berlin against the backdrop of the rising Nazi party, follows American cabaret singer Bowles as she performs at the decadent Kit Kat Klub. Norwood’s portrayal of Bowles, a complex character navigating love, ambition and denial in a rapidly changing world, has garnered critical acclaim.
Norwood’s connection to Bowles began at age 16 when she first watched the film version of “Cabaret.
