When Ivar’s tag team partner in the Viking Raiders went down with an injury, he could have easily faded away into obscurity. Instead, the beefy big man has turned heads with some strong matches on not only WWE Raw but on Nxt as well. An argument can be made that the 40-year-old is among the most underrated talents on the roster today. Win or lose, Ivar has been able to make every battle memorable against everyone from Sheamus to Ricochet to emerging talent like Oba Femi. We caught up with the multi-faceted athlete to talk about returning to his roots in the ring. How was it making the transition to the singles ranks? Ivar: At first, it happened organically. Erik got pulled from the competition on Monday Night Raw. We had 2 out of 3 falls scheduled with New Day. He got pulled, and it ended up being a singles match between me and Kofi Kingston.

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.
Damian Priest | image: Wikimedia Commons
However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.
Jessica Carr Went Unnoticed Despite Saving Damian Priest
Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

With the match breaking down, Valhalla leaped onto Kingston until Xavier Woods came down to make the save. Despite this, Woods got squished by an Ivar splash onto the barricade. Back in the ring, Ivar intercepted a Trouble in Paradise to send Kingston crashing through the table.

Tommaso Ciampa took the next step in facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther as he defeated Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser nearly won the match, however, after he took advantage of Ciampa attacking Giovanni Vinci. But Kaiser could not get the win as the referee was distracted with Vinci’s injury. Kaiser then threw out his own teammate hoping to get the win.

Before he could, however, Señor Money in the Bank had the presence of mind to push Owens forward and move out of the way. For the July 17 edition of Weakest Link, hosted by Jane Lynch, eight WWE stars face off in a different match, but with the same smack talk as usual, especially from The Miz and Kofi Kingston. In TV Insider’s exclusive clip above, The Miz (a The Real World alum) incorrectly guessed iguana when asked to name the reptile that changes color based on its mood. As the grappler winces at the wrong answer, Lynch says the correct answer is chameleon. Kingston then compares WWE stars to chameleons, who have to “wear a lot of hats.” After saying Kingston tells The Miz he should know what a chameleon is, The Miz aggressively answers, “I’m just me! I am just a humble man!” Kingston mocks the suggestion that The Miz is humble as he continues his tirade. “A devoted father, a loving husband, and a simple man in a simple suit playing the Weakest Link.

WWE will hold its biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, this weekend, April 1 and 2, and, in anticipation, several wrestlers have joined Wheel of Fortune for a WWE-themed week of quizzing. But not everybody is having a good time. The WWE Week, which kicked off on Monday (March 27), sees WWE superstars teaming up with regular contestants to spin and win, with the three winners with the highest totals coming back on Friday (March 31) to play in a championship game. Drew McIntyre, Xavier Woods, and Carmella got things rolling on Monday, which featured a funny moment when a contestant gave an Nsfw answer. Other competing wrestlers throughout the week included The Miz, Bayley, Kofi Kingston, Liv Morgan, Austin Theory, and more. Never seen Pat intimidated like this before @_Theory1 @WWE pic.twitter.com/RdpKkGjtLD — Wheel of Fortune (@WheelofFortune) March 29, 2023 The reaction from viewers at home has been mixed, to say the least.

Nick Cannon set social media ablaze earlier this week when he revealed a big announcement was coming, ultimately quashing suspicions he was announcing he’d fathered his 13th child by revealing he’ll be hosting a new Kevin Hart-hosted game show called “Who’s Having My Baby?”, in which female contestants compete to see which of them will be lucky enough to be the next woman for Cannon to impregnate.
“Expect some big news tomorrow … ,” he wrote on Monday in an Instagram Story post.

That was followed by his “Who’s Having My Baby?” reveal.
“You’re going to get some contestants that want to have your baby,” Hart explained in a short promo clip for the E! game show that was shared by Cannon on Instagram on Tuesday.

Kevin Hart announced his latest project, Celebrity Prank Wars, on Wednesday following a viral bit joking about Nick Cannon and the various women who are mothers to his children.
The show, which premieres April 6, will see the duo take their “friendly feud” up a notch, with Hart and Cannon branching out to also include some of their famous friends.
Episodes will see stars “planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other,” according to the network, with co-hosts Cannon and Hart selecting the winner of each prank war. Each prank is expected to be more elaborate than the next. The show’s celebrity participants will include Anthony Anderson, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Lil Duval, Big E, Fantasia, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Jon, Kofi Kingston, Ludacris, Joel McHale, Killer Mike, Chance the Rapper, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, T.I. and Xavier Woods.

Kofi Kingston has attended countless WWE events like the WWE 2K23 hands-on party in San Antonio during Royal Rumble weekend. Even after 16 years with the organization, he still gets a buzz from appearing in a videogame or being Nxt tag team champion with his New Day brother Xavier Woods. Kingston appreciates each high moment knowing the rollercoaster ride he has been on in his career. One minute riding high on “KofiMania” and the next getting decimated by Brock Lesnar. Today Kingston and partner Woods are gearing up for a fatal-four-way title defense against some of Nxt’s emerging superstars at the Vengeance Day premium live event on Peacock on February 4. The 41-year-old takes pride in helping emerging talent on Tuesday nights. At the same time, he isn’t quite ready to fully hand over the torch. To borrow a phrase from the current Nxt Tag Team champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, at DC Studios under the guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran, "it's a new day, yes it is." Ever since the duo was appointed as the co-chairs and co-CEOs of the company and were given the responsibilities of overseeing all DC film, television, and animation projects back in October 2022, they have been hard at work compiling a plan for the future to present to Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav. Part of that preparation period has included clearing out projects that no longer fit in their live-action theatrical release slate like Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman 3," shelving others for the time being (or longer) like "Black Adam 2" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and announcing new ones like a Superman movie written by Gunn that does not star Henry Cavill.
However, all this planning...

A distraction from Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos allowed Zayn to gain the upper hand, but a flying crossbody countered into an Irish Curse Backbreaker put Sheamus right back in charge. Sheamus took to the top rope with a White Noise in mind, but Zayn countered into a sit-out powerbomb. As the action continued, Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Zayn, but a distraction by Jimmy Uso and a subsequent superkick from...

Match #1: Ricochet def. Mustafa Ali The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The first round of the SmackDown World Cup on Fox Tournament continued as two of the biggest high-flyers in Mustafa Ali and Ricochet battled on the ground and in the air. Ali, already nursing injuries stemming from the beatdown he suffered at the hands of Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw, clearly was not at 100 percent but still took the fight to Ricochet. Top-rope offense, including a backstabber and a superplex, put Ricochet in complete control, and it continued with a Michinoku driver on the outside of the ring. A valiant Ali nearly caught Ricochet with a 450 splash, but Ricochet rolled out of the way and finished off Ali with a shooting star press.

Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With history on the line, The New Day were hoping to keep hold of their record run as tag team champions, and they brought everything they had to the titleholders. The Usos isolated Kofi Kingston from Xavier Woods, not allowing Kingston to tag him in. When Kingston eventually tagged in Woods, the former King of the Ring was a house on fire, almost capturing the titles after a flurry of offense. A huge top-rope leg drop from Woods nearly sealed the deal, but Jimmy kicked out at 2.9 repeating. The Usos had a heart-pounding moment of their own, as Woods kicked out of a massive Double Uso Splash.

Match #1: Ridge Holland & Butch def. Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Following a brutal Bloodline attack that left Sheamus out of action last week, The Brawling Brutes were out for payback against Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa. When Butch climbed to the top rope, Jey failed to understand that Zayn was playing possum to his ascending opponent. Thinking he was helping, Jey opted to pull The Honorary Uce out of the ring. A frustrated Zayn wasted time arguing with the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion, and when Ridge Holland took out Jey and Solo Sikoa, Sami finally reengaged Butch and immediately fell victim to the small package for the loss.

Match #1: Sami Zayn def. Kofi Kingston The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Much like previous weeks Jey Uso was in Sami Zayn’s corner but after a phone call from Roman Reigns, “Main Event” Jey Uso seemed more willing to offer aid to his honorary Bloodline member. Jey Uso took umbrage with Xavier Woods’ presence by Superkicking him, allowing Zayn to hit the Blue Thunder Bomb in the fracas for a close two count. Kingston had Zayn locked up in a pinning attempt but Jey proved key, pushing Kingston so that Zayn was pinning Kingston instead. This let Zayn pick up the much-needed victory.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Braun Strowman’s def.

Match #1: Ricochet def. Happy Corbin The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After laughing at Corbin’s expense with Pat McAfee’s hilarious video of Corbin being hit below the belt at SummerSlam, Corbin met Ricochet in the ring to teach him a lesson. In a back-and-forth affair, Ricochet took advantage when The Lone Wolf focused too much on berating McAfee on commentary, gaining the win with an impressive 450 Splash.
