Lester Holt’s Dateline Special, which airs Friday, Aug. 5, tells the story of Anton Black, a Black young man who died at the hands of police in 2018, and whose death has disturbing connections to George Floyd’s case.
The one-hour special, titled “What Happened to Anton Black?,” explores the warning signs the small town of Greensboro, MD received about new police officer Thomas Webster, who responded to a 911 call about Black dragging a younger boy in the street. Webster escalated the situation in a chase, unaware that the boys had been neighbors and friends for years, and restrained Black alongside two other officers and a bystander on Black’s front porch.
While death of Black and Floyd are undeniably tied to the legacy of police brutality against people of color in the U.S., the special also investigates a key figure in both trials: Dr. David Fowler, the Chief Medical...

ABC Family made a huge announcement Tuesday (March 27) -- it's uber-popular "Pretty Little Liars" drama will be getting a spin-off come October, titled "Ravenswood." So, let the speculation begin.
What we know so far is that Ravenswood is a town not far from the "Liars" setting of Rosewood, Pa. It is the home of a deadly curse, which is about to rear its ugly head again, when five strangers find themselves entangled in said curse.
We also know the spin-off will officially be introduced during the Pll Halloween special, but that there will be some teases dropped during the summer season, an ABC Family rep tells Zap2it.
This being ABC Family, we would wager the five strangers will be teenagers, or in their early 20s, maybe. So here is some wish-list casting we'd like to see.

Dallas Roberts ("The Good Wife," "Rubicon") is joining "The Walking Dead" as Milton, who, unlike most of the characters inspired by Robert Kirkman's comics, is wholly original to the TV series. "Milton is the details guy," Kirkman tells EW, "[who] works with the Governor...He's not exactly a scientist, but he's a smart guy that is trying to find out how zombies behave. Watching him do his little experiments is going to be a lot of fun." [EW]

We already know that we'll have more "Dexter" now that it's been renewed for a sixth season, but will we have more Lumen (Julia Stiles) ?
That remains to be seen on the Season 5 finale "The Big One" on Sunday, Dec. 12 on Showtime.
Her fate is in the hands of motivational speaker Jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Miller), who headed up a sort of rape/torture club for Lumen and other similar looking blondes. He's abducted her and is taking her -- well, we have no idea where. Last we checked, he was supposed to fly out of town on a speaking gig, but that was just a ruse. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) just needs to find them before it's too late.
As he's about to rush off, however, he gets a little delayed:
Aw, it's nice that Dexter has family, and Astor (Christina Robinson) surely cleaned up her look from last time.

"Dexter" only has three episodes left this season, so we should have expected the huge leaps it made Sunday night (Nov. 21), but we didn't.
Spoilers! Yes, tick, tick, tick, your life might be running out, but you still have time to watch the episode before reading further.
On Episode 509, "Teenage Wasteland," we get more of an inkling of just how chilling and conniving and -- we hate to say it -- competent Jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Miller). is. It's frightening just how easily he put all the pieces together.
Suspecting Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is one thing; after all, the blood necklace gives that away. But immediately knowing that Dexter is teamed up with Lumen (Julia Stiles)-- he was warned by Dan the dentist that she was alive and working with someone -- and then tracking her down? That takes manpower. We wonder how many people he has working...

It’s tough being a single dad. A difficult balancing act between work, relationships, and “me” time. Especially when that “me” time involves stalking your next murder victim and pulling corpses out of a barrel.
After last week’s stellar return, 5.02 had a tough act to follow. It had its moments, but was rather sluggish, as is typical of early episodes in Dexter seasons as they start to build all the pieces that will come crumbling down later.
Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was back to his absurd rationalizations as he unsuccessfully attempted to focus on the kids. To be a better father, he would have to be a better killer. Kind of like saying the best way to get sober is to stop drinking and pick up heroin.
It had to end this way though, didn’t it? No way we were going to see Dexter dragging Astor (Christina Robinson...

"Dexter" Season 4 ended with a literal blood bath and a vicious serial killer-forming cycle begun again.
"We pick up right where we left off and Dexter ... he's always catching up to himself in the places he's thrust emotionally ... he does have an appetite to atone for the fact that he's been through a second origin story and he's not innocent in this one," star and executive producer Michael C. Hall tells Zap2it.
"At least because of his passivity with Trinity or his indulging in this relationship, has Rita's blood on his hands and that's heavy," he continues. "I don't think we give short shrift to that underlying thing and I think that does lead Dexter ... coming into an awareness that he has a desire to atone."
In addition to an internal conflict, the recently-released preview for "Dexter" shows a conflict between Dexter and his de facto daughter Astor (Christina Robinson...

Get ready for potentially one of the darkest seasons of Dexter to date. The Dexter Season 5 trailer was unveiled at Comic Con revealing the ominous future of Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). "It was me." These words reiterated throughout the trailer will give viewers a sense of what to expect in Season 5. This season won't be about one major Dexter villain. Instead, it will be a call back to the days of Sergeant James Doakes (Erik King) who knew the truth about Dexter's Dark Passenger. Season 5 takes off right after the events of the season 4 finale and Rita's (Julie Benz) untimely death. Expect Quinn (Desmond Harrington) to take over where Doakes left off in the ongoing investigation into Rita's death. Dexter will now take over custody of Astor (Christina Robinson) and Cody (Preston Bailey) so expect a lot of family drama on the home front. Dexter had ...
