Jon Hamm played the role of the advertising executive Don Draper in the period drama series Mad Men. The AMC series was known for its style and the tragic story arc of Draper in the seven-season run. The show also won multiple Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
While Hamm gained worldwide fame for his role and had his breakthrough, he was reportedly not the first choice for the part and had to go through several auditions. The actor himself was reportedly unsure about whether he would be cast in the role as he had lost out on a role in The West Wing and went through a similar process.

Your Honor, which has been streaming on Paramount+ and Netflix, has found newfound success on top of its already record-breaking run on Showtime, and that leads to the question: Will there be a Season 3? In an interview with Deadline, CBS Studios President David Stapf addressed the question himself, cautioning fans to not get their hopes up – yet. “We love the show, and we’re hoping that it can continue, but it’s a little too soon to know or to tell,” Stapf said. “We would like there to be a Season 3 but we’re a ways away.” The legal thriller starring Bryan Cranston ranked at #1 on Paramount+ and amassed 1.5 billion minutes viewed in its first full week of also being available on Netflix in U.S. For the following week of June 10, Your Honor viewing rose to 1.9 billion minutes viewed, ranking at #2 just behind Bridgerton. Additionally, the series has just topped the overall weekly U.

“The Boys” was the third-most-streamed title in the U.S. in the week of June 10-16, per Nielsen. While that total accounts for all seasons of the Amazon Prime Video superhero series, much viewership was driven by the release of Season 4. With four days of availability for those first three episodes, the series was watched for 1.2 billion minutes during this viewing window.
The top title of the week, unsurprisingly, was “Bridgerton.” The Shonda Rhimes’ produced Regency-era drama has been making viewership headlines for nearly two months now, since the release of Season 3’s first four episodes on May 16. The season’s final four episodes dropped on June 13, driving the series to hit a massive 3.5 billion minutes watched from June 10 to 16.
After its No. 1 debut the week prior, “Your Honor” was the second-most-streamed title of the week. The Bryan Cranston legal drama, which ran on Showtime from 2020 to 2023, has seen renewed...

If there is one character that should go down in history as one of the best of all time, it would have to be Bryan Cranston’s Walter White in Breaking Bad. The complexities existing within this one character can be studied for years, and all are credited to the actor’s performance. His dedication to showcasing the very messed up parts of the once high school teacher turned drug kingpin has helped create one of the best pieces of television in decades.

We recently learned that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse star Nicolas Cage will reprise his role in Noir, a Prime Video series telling the story of an ageing and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's only superhero.
Now, Cage has broken his silence on the project in a recent interview with The New Yorker after being asked about his Hollywood influences.
"Well, I mean, the fantasy would be that I could try to aspire to be something more Golden Age," he started. "You know, something more like James Cagney or Humphrey Bogart. Or Hedy Lamarr or Bette Davis. I wanted to have that kind of aura, you know, like the more enigmatic, you don’t know too much."
"We’ll see what happens if I do this Amazon show [“Spider-Man Noir”], and they put me in black-and-white.

The last time a Bryan Cranston drama hit Netflix, it sparked a pop culture phenomenon, with Breaking Bad earning an all-new array of fans and becoming watercooler viewing in its last few seasons. Now, another of his shows is getting a resurgence in viewership: Your Honor. Bob Odenkirk played the role of Saul Goodman in Vince Gilligan’s Breaking Bad. However, he has no idea how he became Gilligan and co-creator Peter Gould’s favorite to play the role of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman’s attorney. Forget Cinnabon, Bob Odenkirk’s got a deeper revelation! Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad learned the importance of emulating well-known anti-heroes like Walter White. It turns out there’s a cost associated with delving into moral ambiguity. But who knows? Maybe sorrow is the key to a performance deserving of an Emmy!

Cuddly Kung Fu master Po the Panda returns to the big screen for a fourth instalment of the animated action comedy franchise, eight years after Kung Fu Panda 3. Unfortunately, it’s fair to say that the law of diminishing returns has very much kicked in, because while the film is entirely amiable, it doesn’t quite deliver the same punch, and frequently feels like it’s going through the motions.
The film begins in the Valley of Peace, where Po (Jack Black) is content with his life as the legendary Dragon Warrior, occasionally defeating the odd villain with his sweet kung-fu skills and using his standing in the community to open a tofu-and-noodle shop.

While Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have moved on since their divorce after a decade long marriage, the two celebrities have always continued to maintain a friendly relationship with each other while co-parenting their kids. While they were still a couple. the stars have shared a mutual respect which has seen them having many honest discussions about their career as well.

In Hollywood’s cinematic world, there have been villains who’ve even outshined the lead protagonist when it comes to stage presence and completely immersing themselves in the role they’re playing. While this is true for some, the story is not the same for season 4 of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, whose antagonist, Caroline Warner, has been receiving some flak from family drama aficionados.

The CEO of Market Equities, portrayed by the evergreen and inimitable Jacki Weaver, was introduced in the show’s fourth season as a formidable rival to the Dutton’s, Montana’s largest ranch owners (fictional). She’s played a sexually harassed Fox News anchor, a feisty, determined and ill-fated figure skater, a comic book misfit, an aspiring con artist, a wildly ambitious 1920s sexpot, a hardcore Wall Street wife, Queen Elizabeth I – and actress Sharon Tate. Whatever the role calls for, Margot Robbie has risen to the challenge, stealing scenes and hearts and growing into a bonafide movie star while working alongside, and for, some of Hollywood’s finest actors and filmmakers. Born July 2, 1990 in Dalby, Queensland, Australia, Robbie has steadily built her resume’ over the course of 15 years, rising from TV series guest spots to feature starring roles that put her alongside the likes of Christian Bale and Brad Pitt in two movies released in 2022, “Amsterdam” and “Babylon,” respectively. And “Barbie” became one of the biggest movies of 2023.

It’s now been 15 years since Krysten Ritter’s Breaking Bad arc came to a tragic, series-altering end. But that eight-episode run in season two of the beloved AMC series continues to bear fruit for the actor.
Last night, she made her return to the home network of Breaking Bad as the star of Orphan Black: Echoes — a spinoff of Tatiana Maslany’s mothership series that picks up 37 years later. Created by Anna Fishko, Ritter’s new character, Lucy, instead of being a clone, was recently printed into existence by a four-dimensional printer. And, despite her best efforts to create a well-adjusted life for herself in just two years’ time, she’s soon forced to piece together the puzzle of who she really is and why she was created.

For seven glorious seasons, Jon Hamm graced our television screens as chain-smoking, booze-guzzling, frequent-philandering ad-man Don Draper in the AMC series “Mad Men.” He was a part of a golden era of anti-hero television, running next-to or alongside other hit shows like “The Sopranos” and “Breaking Bad,” all of which have fans who continue to greatly misconstrue the lessons provided by these great narrative works. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm is opening up about the complicated relationship he shares with his most famous character.
“Jimmy Gandolfini, whom I knew a little bit, had a similar relationship to Tony Soprano, and Bryan Cranston had it with Walter White. The character got celebrated for the wrong reasons,” said Hamm. “People thought that Don was this paragon of masculinity or whatever. Breaking Bad is one of the greatest TV shows ever to have been made. Not only did it raise the standard for the film industry worldwide, but it also propelled several of its star-studded cast to new heights of success. While it was Bryan Cranston who received the most attention for his incredible portrayal, another famous star stood out for his portrayal, Giancarlo Esposito.

"Breaking Bad" is one of the best television shows ever made — that's it, that's the tweet (never post), as the saying goes.
Across 62 episodes following cancer-afflicted chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin Walter White/Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston), the show never lost its touch. The chapters that made up the series are just as strong as their sum. Normally on a long-running show, there'll be debate over what the best episode is. Not on "Breaking Bad" though — the consensus pick for best is season 5, episode 14 "Ozymandias," where Walter White's world at last comes tumbling down. (The title references the Percy Bysshe Shelley poem about an arrogant king now buried by the sands of time.)
There's underrated "Breaking Bad" episodes people will champion. Some might also cite bottle episode character study "Fly" (directed by future "Ozymandias" director Rian Johnson) or season 4 finale "Face-Off" as close seconds. But even fans of those episodes...

Dragon Warrior Po entertained the fans with King Fu Panda 4, and until Inside Out 2 came out, it was the highest-grossing film of the year, 2024. Po and his gang have now arrived on the Ott platforms and found one of its streaming networks, but there is a twist. It is produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. Jack Black and Bryan Cranston reprised their roles from the previous movie, and a few new actors joined the voice cast, including Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
It is the sequel to the 2016 film and was directed by Mike Mitchell. The fourth installment was written by Jonathan Aibel, Glenn Berger, and Darren Lemke. The old cast members include Black in the titular character of Po, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, James Hong as Po’s adoptive father, Mr. Ping, and Bryan Cranston as Li Shan.

After Your Honor dominated the Netflix charts, the hype is at a fever-pitch as fans ask for a Season 3.
Bryan Cranston's Showtime series raked in huge viewing numbers before its Season 2 conclusion in March 2023, adding to his impressive success after Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle.
The star referred to Season 2 of Your Honor as the show's final season with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast in June 2023, but fans are not listening to that proclamation.

Last year, the nominees for both Best Drama Guest Actor and Best Drama Guest Actress were drawn from just two shows: “The Last of Us” and “Succession.” The former reaped a lucky seven nominations while the latter nabbed five. We don’t think any show will manage to snag that many nominations across these two drama guest acting categories this year but we do think one show will land more bids than any other: Amazon Prime Video’s “Mr. And Mrs. Smith.”
The spy-thriller series, created by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane, is a reboot of the 2005 movie starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Glover stars in the lead role opposite “Pen15” actress and creator Maya Erskine. The two multi-hyphenates feature as a pair of spies (John and Jane) who must pretend to be a couple and complete missions together. The episodes each depict the stages of a relationship through the prism a spy thriller.

Sir Anthony Hopkins earned his first Oscar for the role of serial killer Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs. Based on the novel by Thomas Harris, it was the last movie to win the ‘Big Five’ awards at the Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Hopkins only had about 16 minutes of screen time.
Hopkins went on to reprise his role in two more films, the sequel Hannibal and the prequel Red Dragon. While the sequel was more commercially successful than the original, the film was not as well-received and the actor himself was reportedly not happy with the film. He also mentioned that one scene in particular on Hannibal was done differently from the book.

“Bridgerton” has returned to first place on the Netflix Top 10 after the debut of Season 3 Part 2. The season hit 28 million views in the final four episodes’ first four days of availability.
Viewership of earlier episodes through the entire week of June 10-16 were also accounted for in that total, but were Netflix to separate views of Parts 1 and 2, the number would likely be even higher. Views are calculated by dividing the total number of hours streamed by a title’s runtime. Therefore, even though the majority of the season’s 223.3 million viewing hours were certainly concentrated on the final four episodes, they were divided by the season’s full eight-hour length, rather than its latter few hours alone.
Season 3 has been a massive success for Netflix, having opened with 45.1 million views — “Bridgerton’s” best-ever launch. By the June 3-9 viewing window, less than one month after its May 27 debut, the...

Even the best series has to conclude at some point, often to the dismay of those who grew to love the characters and stories. It's not easy to pull off the ultimate series finale.
If you need a primary example of that, work your way through Game of Thrones, Lost, True Blood, or The Walking Dead (to name a few) and suffer the indignity of watching the endings come apart at the seams.
But those who get it right are forever enshrined in the public consciousness and the hallowed halls of TV history.
We're not talking about sadness brought on by a beloved series ending a long and storied run, though that is devastating in its own way. No, these are episodes capable of eliciting the same emotions as a standalone movie.

We all know Wes Anderson has his repertoire of actors: Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and on and on and on. And over the course of his career, they have all grown accustomed to – and perfectly fit – his signature style. But that’s really hard to do early on, when none of this has been established and you’re just trying to get that first film completed. Now imagine doing it while a sometimes short-tempered Oscar nominee watches it all unfold.
Wes Anderson recalled that when making his first movie, James Caan didn’t understand just what this rinky-dink, $5 million production was even going for. “I remember James Caan came to the set of Bottle Rocket, and he was really saying, ‘What are you guys doing?’ We were doing things that he thought, ‘This is not how movies are made,’ but he sort of adapted to us.”
