Robert Pattinson and fiancée Suki Waterhouse met each other six years ago at a ‘game night’ in LA. While the spark was there, it was quite some time later that their romance blossomed, and now six years later, here they are, engaged and parents to a beautiful girl. A favorite celebrity couple of fans, the duo have been going stronger than ever.

There have been a plethora of actors who have had the honor to play the role of The Batman in live-action iterations. Ranging from George Clooney to the latest Robert Pattinson, only a select few of the most talented men in Hollywood has had the opportunity to play the Gotham caped crusader.
A still from Batman Returns (1992) | Warner Bros.
Among them, is Michael Keaton, who played the role in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns. The actor, for many of the older fans of the superhero, is the original Batman that they grew up with for years. The same, appears to be true for none other than the ridiculously talented Danny DeVito, who played the role of Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin in the 1992 Warner Bros. project.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Devito revealed the simple reason why he cannot even accept any other actor as Batman.

Who says 1994 was a classic year for cinema? Netflix begins today to make that argument, curating a release of 17 films that turned 30 this year. The streamer has its list below. I have mine, and with the exception of the seminal Farrelly Brothers-directed Dumb & Dumber with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, and Luc Besson’s Leon: The Professional, the film that stars Jean Reno and a sinister Gary Oldman and introduced the world to the outsized talent Natalie Portman, and maybe Ron Howard’s The Paper, there’s a lot missing. How about Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, The Lion King, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Clear and Present Danger, Sicario, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Interview With the Vampire, Speed, Ed Wood, and the other two films in a starmaking year for Jim Carrey, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Mask. Speed, Once Were Warriors, and Ang Lee...

The Office would have you believe that workplace pranks are lighthearted affairs full of Jell-o and fake glasses. Well, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn’t that kind of sitcom.
When the Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated and universally beloved movie star Danny DeVito signed on to appear in a loud, low-budget and indulgently offensive comedy series on FX in the mid-aughts, many critics and fans alike wondered what the hell such a successful actor and director was doing playing a lecherous lout on a little-known show that’s too crass to ever become a big hit. At the time, no one could have predicted that It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia wouldn’t just be the steadiest gig of DeVito’s legendary career, but that it would also live to be the longest-running live-action sitcom in American television history.

The One Piece live-action season 2 casting has started, and fans have received a lot of new surprises in the form of actors who have joined the adventures of Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus. With actors like Clive Russell as Crocus and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, the series is getting ready for another banging season that will most probably be a success.

Benicio del Toro has had enough of schmoozing, small talk and pretending to laugh at people’s jokes in this year’s black-and-white trailer for the 2024 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (Kviff), which was unveiled, as has become tradition, on Friday evening as part of the opening night festivities of the 58th edition of the fest in the Czech spa town.
Enough is enough, he thinks, while walking through a Berlin train station. And to cheer himself up, he turns to a traditional Karlovy Vary treat that he takes out of a bag, which also contains his Kviff honor statuette.
The Puerto Rican actor and producer received the Kviff President’s Award in 2022 and has now joined a who’s who of stars from Hollywood and beyond in starring in the usually offbeat trailers that don’t take themselves, the celebrities and the award statuette too seriously. Pine writes, directs and stars – alongside Danny DeVito and Annette Bening – in this rambling comedy mystery about a shaggy, quirky pool attendant
Chris Pine is usually a likable screen presence but he’s let down here by a flimsy script and over-indulgent direction – which could have something to do with the co-screenwriter (Chris Pine) and the first-time director. You can see what he was going for: a knockabout stoner neo-noir paying homage to old-school Los Angeles, but this is more like Chinatown without the savagery, or Inherent Vice without the brains, or The Big Lebowski without the drugs.
Pine’s character is very much a watered-down version of Jeff Bridges’ Dude (the strongest thing he consumes is an egg cream mocktail). He’s a shaggy, aimless slacker who lives in a trailer next to the apartment-complex pool he tends with zen-like focus. As his character name, Darren Barrenman, forewarns, he...

Several years ago, there was some buzz about Chris Pine making his directorial debut when news got wind of the synopsis of Poolman. The premise sounded similar to Chinatown and The Big Lebowski, and with a stacked A-list cast that includes three Oscar nominees, surely that means the film has a good script if such high caliber talent signed up. Below is the actual synopsis of the upcoming film: Poolman tells the story of Darren Barrenman (Chris Pine), a native Los Angeleno who spends his days looking after the pool of the...

Johnny Depp, Mel Gibson, Helen Mirren, Harvey Keitel, Milos Forman, Danny DeVito, Casey Affleck, Andy Garcia, John Malkovich — what reads like a who’s who of Hollywood star power is also part of the list of big names who have starred in trailers for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, whose 58th edition unspools June 28-July 6.

Danny DeVito’s famous Trollfoot has finally returned to Twitter, but with a special Easter egg just for the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans — this time, he botched it.
The 79-year-old film and TV icon has always had one of the more unusual social media presences in entertainment. With nothing left to prove and no interest in selling out his quirky sense of humor for a promo, DeVito and his Trollfoot (which is just his regular foot that he photographs bare in bizarre-to-mundane circumstances) are almost the anti-George Takei in a Twitter landscape where seemingly every celebrity post is driven by branding, engagement or both, especially for the more established entertainers of the older generation such as Star Trek’s resident reposter.
DeVito’s almost monthly Trollfoot posts are a staple of any healthy Twitter feed, but after he took a nearly 10-week hiatus from feetposting, DeVito’s...

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star and co-creator Rob McElhenney says that his co-star Danny DeVito taught him invaluable parenting lessons, which means that McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson’s kids should probably keep their expectations low around Christmas time.
Given how many A-list actors and entertainment moguls turn out to be absent and ineffective fathers and husbands, it seems like a rarity when a true superstar expertly balances a legendary entertainment career with a positive and fruitful family life. Hell, even for the non-famous wealthy men of the world, being a good dad who is present in his children’s lives sure seems to be a near-impossible challenge. Ostensibly moral and upstanding millionaires regularly find fatherhood to be too great of a distraction to fully commit to their kids — I mean, Bruce Mathis didn’t even meet his twin children until they were already awful adults.

When The Good Place creator Mike Schur called Kaitlin Olson to convince her to take a guest role on an upcoming comedy series back in 2020 — the passion project he was producing from a trio of showrunners about a legendary female comedian staging a career resurgence — the actress says she was a little hesitant.

But the role — as DJ, the troubled daughter of Jean Smart’s Deborah Vance on Max’s Hacks — was, as Schur promised, small but juicy. “The writing was so good and so smart,” says Olson of the first script she read, written by co-creators Lucia Aniello, Paul W. USA Network is reentering the scripted originals space.
The NBCUniversal-owned basic cable network has handed out a straight-to-series order for a reboot of The Rainmaker, from producers Lionsgate TV and Blumhouse TV, marking its first non-shared scripted series since 2020.

The Tim Burton and Johnny Depp collaborations are certainly prolific. While Depp was a teen star on the Fox series 21 Jump Street, he had a weird creative force inside of him that a high school cop series didn’t fulfill. Then came a new movie called Edward Scissorhands that paired Depp with his long-time director friend. Deadline reports that Depp is being featured in a new docu-series that’s a retrospective on the career of Tim Burton, and the actor reveals who he beat out for the part of Edward.

Depp explained that Cruise “was not far away from actually playing Edward Scissorhands — true story.” Depp admitted to thinking, “He’s never going to cast...

Gemeinsam...

U.S. producer Stacey Sher — whose credits include Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction,” “Django Unchained” and “The Hateful Eight” as well as Steven Soderbergh’s “Erin Brockovich,” “Out of Sight” and “Contagion” — will be honored by the Locarno Film Festival with its Raimondo Rezzonico Prize, which celebrates a producer who epitomizes the indie ethos.
“Few producers can claim that their films not only drastically altered the landscape of American independent filmmaking, but also seemed to define the tenor of an entire decade,” the prominent Swiss fest dedicated to international indie cinema said in a statement. It noted that Sher – with her producing partners Danny DeVito and Michael Shamberg – shepherded “such paradigmatic films of the 1990s” as “Pulp Fiction” (1994); “Get Shorty” (1995); “Matilda” (1996); “Gattaca” (1997); and “Out of Sight” (1998).

Poolman had a lot going for it. Chris Pine, a solid and dependable actor, is directing for the first time while also playing a Lebowski-esque lead character. A Los Angeles-set neo-noir tale of conspiracy, scheming, and murder. And a stacked cast—filled with names like Annette Benning, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Clancy Brown, DeWanda Wise, Stephen Tobolowsky, alongside the legendary Danny DeVito and Ray Wise (Twin Peaks fans should know who that is). Sadly, the film turned out to be nothing but a big howler. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but absolutely nothing works here. The writing is clunky. The central mystery is dumber than the detective novels I used to write inside my head when I was in the seventh grade. Nothing good can be said about the acting either, except DeVito and Wise, who always fire no matter what the situation. The only saving grace is probably the retro-cool soundtrack,...

Tim Burton’s rendition of Batman remains perhaps one of the most eccentric yet authentic versions of the Caped Crusader. To the gothic filmmaker, the orphaned superhero didn’t symbolize the heroic savior that comes to Gotham’s rescue, as is the quintessential take of the character.
Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) (Credit: Warner Bros.)
Perhaps it is this painfully realistic and gritty take on the character that sets Burton’s creation apart from the sundry other Batman films, making it next to impossible to recreate his historic vision.

When the news of Michael Keaton’s casting broke, comic book fans approached the 1989 classic with nothing but outrage (via Vulture). But all their embittered outcries died down upon seeing Tim Burton’s somber version of the Dark Knight, who, in all his pathos-filled glory, depicted the very essence of Batman.

Back in 1997, Disney’s Hercules became a massive hit, earning a total of $252.7 million on an $85 million budget, which was an exceptional amount of money at the time. It also became a part of history as one of Disney’s most beloved animated features. The original movie featured the voice talents of Tate Donovan (as Hercules), Danny DeVito (as Philoctetes), James Woods (as Hades), and Susan Egan (as Megara), but the House of the Mouse thinks it is time for a remake and so a live-action version is coming along. Guy Ritchie has signed on to direct and while we don’t have any known cast members for you, we have some interesting rumors.
Not so long ago, we reported that Dua Lipa is being eyed to take over the role of Megara, and in this report, we can confirm that a name is being mentioned in association with the role of Hades,...

The online retailer/streamer has handed out a series order for Kevin, an animated comedy from Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert (Big Mouth).
The series revolves around a lifelong house cat who decides that he doesn’t want to live with people anymore. The comedy is loosely inspired by a real breakup and the cat caught in the middle. Titmouse will handle animation for the series.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Joe and Amazon to bring this cat’s story to the screen. We can’t wait for the world to meet Kevin!” said Plaza and Murphy in a joint statement Thursday.
Plaza and Wengert will write the series and exec produce alongside Dan Murphy, Plaza’s producing partner at Evil Hag Productions and co-writer of the children’s books The Legend of the Christmas Witch and its sequel.

Here's a really strange random fact about me: I grew up with emetophobia, the intense fear of vomit and vomiting. The very idea of blowing chunks got my anxiety going, which is what makes my deep, abiding love for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" kind of hilarious. You see, there is a lot of vomiting, gagging, and spitting up on "It's Always Sunny." There are some amazing puke-filled moments, of course, like Charlie (Charlie Day) spewing all over his date because he swallowed fake blood capsules, or Dennis (Glenn Howerton) barfing while dancing because he did a bunch of shots rapid-fire. It turns out that in the right circumstances, vomit can be really funny, and in the case of "It's Always Sunny," the funniest yakking usually comes courtesy of Sweet Dee, played by Kaitlin Olson.

Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger might look like an odd couple – which is exactly why Twins worked as an outlandish concept – but they’ve been pals for decades. Although their onscreen collaborations are few, they do have another project in the pipeline. Unfortunately, it doesn’t involve taking down Michael Keaton’s Batman…
Speaking with Deadline, DeVito said of his pal and a future project, “Arnold and I love working together. We’re doing a movie together next year. We’ve been working on it…Since Twins and Junior, and all the stuff we’ve done together, we’ve become friends.”
What exactly this project between Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger is remains a mystery at this point but we do know it will be set up at Warners Bros. This would further indicate it’s undoubtedly not the do-we-really-want-this? sequel to Twins (a Universal movie), which Arnold himself has...

Following persistent rumors, we got word that Disney was officially moving forward with a live-action remake of Hercules back in 2022, with Aladdin director Guy Ritchie set to helm the project and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo on board as producers.
Updates have been few and far between since then, and we're still waiting to find out which actors are going to bring life to the main characters.
Previous rumors have claimed that Taron Edgerton and Ariana Grande were up for the roles of Hercules and Meg, and while there's every chance they will end up being cast, we may be able to add another name to the mix for the movie's female lead.
According to reliable Disney source the DisInsider, pop megastar turned actress Dua Lipa might be a contender to play Meg. He doesn't say whether she's actually in talks, only that the studio "likes" her for the part.

Everyone knows that comedy can be socially dangerous, but what about when it's actually dangerous to a person's health? Physical comedy can require actors to put their bodies on the line in the name of laughs, and that means sometimes a comedian has to know when to take a step back and let a stunt person take the fall instead. After all, aside from maybe Johnny Knoxville, the most adept comedy stars still aren't trained in stunt work and could really hurt themselves. On the long-running FX sitcom series, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," there have been plenty of opportunities for the stars to show off their physical comedy chops and potentially put themselves in harm's way, but there was at least one stunt that was just way too much for septuagenarian actor Danny DeVito.

The actor plays the chaotic father figure Frank Reynolds to the ragtag crew working at Paddy’s Pub. “I love working with these guys, Charlie [Day] and Glenn [Howerton] and Rob [McElhenney] and Kaitlin,” he adds, joking in the manner his character would that “[There’s] the guys, and then there’s the woman and they’re my kids. One of the most adapted authors in history, Stephen King yet has a significant experience with movies proving that he has developed his critical eye over the years of dealing with filmmakers.
Though he’s mostly known as a cinephile who doesn’t follow the mainstream preferring to crash the movies that everyone adores, King still left everyone bewildered when admitted he hadn’t enjoyed Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, but nonetheless gave it a credit saying there are some worse movies out there.
Several years ago King revealed that he’s not into “narcissistic stuff like Kill Bill” calling the film’s opening part a “blah movie”, but then proceeded with some kind of weird compliment for Tarantino’s hit saying that “isn’t a benchmark of awfulness” comparing it to Mars Attacks! or Mommie Dearest.

One thing that becomes clear, as you make your way through sixteen seasons of "Always Sunny," is that the gang is awfully resilient. Not only are they all severe alcoholics who otherwise don't seem to have any health problems, but they're constantly falling into things and getting the s**t kicked out of them, only to be back to normal by the start of the next episode. When one YouTuber made a compilation of the gang's injuries last year, the video was over 12 minutes long:
For Danny DeVito, who plays the show's wise and dependable father figure Frank, one of his favorite moments from filming "Always Sunny" came in season 11's "Frank Falls Out The Window." In the episode's very first scene, Frank falls out of his and Charlie's apartment and gets a giant gash on the back of his head. We don't see him hitting the ground, but the aftermath doesn't look pretty.

Danny DeVito is opening up about plans for his new movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“We really want to work together and we’ve been talking about it for quite a while,” DeVito said to Et on the red carpet for Poolman. “We’re onto something now, we have a script being written.”
He wouldn’t give details on whether the project will be a sequel to any of their previous collaborations, Twins or 1994’s Junior — but said that they already have a major studio behind them.
“As soon as that comes in, we’ll know better. But we’ll do it at Warner Brothers, so there you go,” DeVito said.
The Schwarzenegger/DeVito chemistry is a proven commodity.
“He’s a good buddy, you know? He’s just a good pal. So you know, and we go together, kind of. We fit, right?” he said.
Reunions of the two are gaining steam.
