Spider-Man is cool, to hate...?
Sam Raimi was going for a timeles feeling with his films I believe. Toby Maguire is really goofy and nerdy in these films in kind of a way that makes you cringe but at the same time he’s really relatable as well, not so much as this static and flat one dimensional and stereotypical “nerd” character but just someone who is I guess someone you can imagine seeing somewhere in real life who is nice and amiable but kind of has low self esteem and maybe is a bit awkward but also down to earth and really genuine. That’s how Peter Parker should be, an eye gets to be the main character/superhero.
