What do you name your animals? For fun...

Hi all,

I am currently playing HM: A New Beginning (LOVE IT BTW ) And I was just wondering what you all name your animals in the HM games that you play?

I have three cows; Luna, Star and Astro. Three chickens; Flea, Tick, and Worm. Three sheep; Trick, Treat, and Hollow. An alpaca named Peanut (the next ones will be Butter and Jelly) and two Yaks named Vissa and Verssa. As you can see I always do my animals in group names lol. Its something I have done since I started playing HM!

What do you name your animals?

Usually I name them after Elements for all my harvest moon games, so I use to have a dog (Gold), cat (Silver), Horse (Platinum), chickens (Sodium, Copper, Tin, Lead (usually a metal)), Cows and Sheep (Oxygen, Iodine, Sulfer, Argon (usually non-metals))

All of my chickens are named after South Park characters.

I name them after horror movie villains. Jason, Freddy, Michael, etc..

My chickens' names have slowly degraded from "Clucky" and "Chicky" to "c"

First cow is always named Moo.
First sheep is always named Baa.
Named my alpaca Al and my yak Yakky. I'm so original.

My frist Cows name is Cowser Like Bowser but with a c.

I went with 'Mug' for my dog, after Mug Costanza from the Seinfeld 'Seven' episode : )

i always give my chickens and cows old lady names. like Edith and Lucy or Daisy. sometimes I name my chickens stuff like, nugget, fried, pot pie, etc.

Most of my animals have very random names, such as Fluff, Peck, Scratchy, Scruff, Bubbles, Lulu and hamburger. I just named them with whatever name popped into my head first.. I don't spend that much time deciding them


I have an unhealthy obsession with Harvest Moon

I generally invent naming rules every game. My first sheep is always Dolly, so the rule for this game has been that all my sheep's names end in -lly (Dolly, Molly, Sully.) My cows have names that end in -ie (Bessie, Millie, Dottie.) My horse is always Folly. The chickens and dog are always random.

I just go to that site, (it's a random word generator,) I select "Noun, Common," and choose the first word to pop up that I like. It's quite fun, too.

I always name my horse after my boyfriend cause he is such a noble steed! Love you Harry <3
My cows are always fat girl names like Olga cause fat people are cows, get it?
Then my sheep are name sneep and peep

All mine are currently named after MLP characters. thanks to my nephew who told me too XD
chickens are names after pegasus (Derpy,Fluter,Rainbo,Celsta)
Cows are named after earth and unicorns (apljak,pinky,twilgt)
sheep are names after the pets in mlp XD (gummy,winona, fluffy)
the cats are called Luna & Discrd .My dog is named Shadow-(non mlp name i always call the dog shadow in HM games)
and the horse will be named Sombra (3 more days to go in game ^^)

First Cow is always Moo-moo, additional cows are random.
First Sheep is always Baa-baa, additional sheep are random.
Horse/Dog/Cat is always named after my own animals.
Chickens are always generic names (Bob, Fred, George, Joe, etc)

Chickens - Flowers i.e. Rose, Lily, Dahlia...
Cows - Trees i.e, Willow, Rowan, Elm...
Sheep - Spices i.e. Sage, Basil, Chive...
Alpacas( and probably Llamas when I get there) - Other plant words, i.e. Ivy, Fern, Bush...

I've been known to switch them around and used the flowers for cows and trees for sheep and such, but these are the categories I always use.

Cows are named as 'Rumpa, Trumpi, Prumpa'. With having the words 'Rrump'.
Sheeps are solar sytems. Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Saturn and Pluto.

Chickens are Chicky, Chessy, Chesty, Chesie, Cheessie, Chickie, Chickpox, Chick

My dog is Hog, and my horse is Unicorn.
