Undergoing a significant asthetic change, Fox (now molded from a combination of his Assault and Command models) was shown for a brief moment at the end of the second Smash trailer. The only thing we can tell is that his gun is now always held at the ready, and some astute board users have pointed out that a motion sensor mine of some sort is attached to his belt.

AG: I'm not sure if you're being serious here or not, but I'll explain what I was trying to do here anyway. I made the sticky to clear up common misconceptions and questions about the basic stuff that people are always asking about (when's it coming out, what characters are confirmed, all that jazz.) I just added in all the extra junk to fill the space for those who care.

I understand where you're coming from, and another reason I made this was so that we'd be able to have a single thread of reference to refer people to whenever they ask a question, instead of having to answer it manually each time it comes up. I don't expect it to completely eliminate stupid questions, but now we've got a place to refer newbies when they ask a question covered here.

[ul] [li] Sakurai has stated that they are rebuilding the entire game from the ground up. Meaning they aren't just porting things from SSBM over to Brawl, everything is new and newly made. Also confirmed is that returning characters who were clones in SSBM will be reworked and made more unique. [/li] [/ul][ul] [li] Although it is confirmed that Nintendo will be helping in the development, Hal Labs will be the main branch overseeing the project, as well as a third faction to help with the game; a mysterious group of developers whom Sakurai has disclosed only as "The Studio". [/li] [/ul][ul] [li] Sakurai did not specifically say there would be 3 thrid-party characters, but rather defined it as "1-2 more" after Snake. Meaning theres a possibility there could only be one added. However its generally accepted that there will likely be 3 in the end. [/li] [/ul][ul] [li] It has been confirmed by Miyamoto himself that Sonic the Hedgehog is currently the most wanted 3rd Party character for Brawl, and news of such has already been sent to Sega. Though nothing is completely decided yet, its still very much worth noting. [/li] [/ul][ul] [li] The incident in which Sakurai apparently went on a radio show and "confirmed" that the Ice Climber, Game & Watch, and Young Link would be replaced with Bowser Jr., Ridley, and Cartoon-style Link are only RUMORS. Tag would be a very ineresting addition to Brawl.. but would we like to consider it as an attack that hits, touching the chararcter, or go close to the character and then attack (VIA, not Mario's fireball, but his smashA<).

Does that mean that old characters will have new movesets? It looked like they still had their old ones. Or was that not the meaning of that statement? Clarification please and thank you.

By saying that everything will be reworked, Sakurai is likely saying that all the characters moves will be changed in the amount of damage and knockback they'll do. The old characters won't be getting completely new movesets, as we've seen the returning characters doing their old moves in the trailers.

lets see..

first off, im new here, but brawls got me stirred up again and im ready to go. i even joined a SSBM club at my school :^O

so. to put it simply, and not much as a newb i'd hope (yes i can see all your stuff about crying about characters not seen yet). BUT!, just giving a best guess, think marth will be in SSBB? hes very popular around here, and i love his fighting style, so i am hoping he would be in but im not sure if this is a shared feeling.
