The Quarry. is it any good for a horror game?

Was browsing my Playstation 4's PSN store earlier today and noticed a new horror game thats been out since June 10th.

is it any good? Is it like Until Dawn or a little different?

I haven't played it, but I watched a review.
It had less player control than UD, there were long stretches where you didn't have any input.

I watched some videos of it (a bit on the background of what I was doing to be honest) and it didn't really seem to be very scary. It follows the tropes you'd expect, like young people, cabin in the woods, weird locals, a monster etc. One thing I find works against this sort of game is that characters you control are so stereotypical and annoying that I actually root for them to die, so whatever happens to them really seems less scary than it probably should.

I"m a fan of UD so I'll be getting this as well. Reviews say it makes for a far better slasher movie than a game though.

I am not a big fan of horror games, I am mostly into games that make me happy like the simulation genre games. I love those games not the horro one
