I haven't received it yet, but I believe it's just "You're Better Off Dead" and a crappy cover song (I think the other song is called "Someone Put Something In My Drink" - I've heard it, and couldn't stand it).

True... but some recent episodes of South Park, like SP In Aspen have been downright hilarious.

Lilitu-The Earth Gods

(Today)
Agalloch-Pale Folklore
Dark Throne-True Norwegian Black Metal (L/sleeve T-shirt)

Todays order arrived at my work, and once we had finished up, I promptly put the t-shirt on. I must have looked like a banker from hell, as apart from the shirt, I still had my suit on.

Yes, get "The Mantle" right away, as it's better than "Pale Folklore", and that album is better than most Metal albums out there.

I refuse to let this thread die, since I just set myself up to burn a $#!+load of money:

From amazon.com:
Both Merry Axemas CDs
Both Rhapsody singles, Emerald Sword and Holy Thunderforce (further cementing my role as a completionist whore and crazed Rhapsody fan)

From cheap-cds.com:
Iron Maiden - Eddie's Archive (only $72, and that includes S&H)

From The End:
Symphony X - The Divine Wings of Tragedy
Edge of Sanity - Purgatory Afterglow
Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage (finally [face_blush])
Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder

let me know what you think of the to die for.
i have that cd, its decent, its like metal glam rock or something. i don't listen to it that much, but its pretty catchy. i like the first half of the cd the best.

i'm kinda surprised you don't have awakening the world already. i thought you would have.

and i need to get those merry axemas cds as well, in time for the christmas season.

Aren't we all, lol. Anyhow, the Emerald Sword single rules because it has a redone version of "Land of Immortals" that is absolutely smoking and among the best songs Rhapsody has ever done.

Hyp0, I have "Awakening the World," but it's a promo version I bought used for $5.00. Unfortunately, it got a bit scratched, and one of the tracks skips - track 3, the best power metal song in history.

At any rate, I wouldn't mind getting the good version with the real packaging.

I could always use a good laugh.

I also recently purchased:

Novembere - Classica
Kaliban - The Tempest of Thoughts
Dragonland - The Battle of the Ivory Plains
In Flames - Colony

"And you say I go nuts with my credit card ololo"

Actually, it's a Visa check card, tee-hee.

I probably shouldn't be spending this much money on CD's now, though, since I'm moving in a month.

Btw, Warren, I listened to those samples of Charon, (after I ordered the CD), and I am REALLY looking forward to that CD.

They sound REALLY amazing.

Thanks for the recommendation.

"The Earth We Shall Inherit" is by far the best song on "The Earth Gods."

Wanna hear something hilarious?

Lilitu is on garageband.com. My singer reviewed "Unhallowed be Thy Shame" by them.

I couldn't frickin' believe it.

And wanna hear something even funnier (and more lame?)

"Unhallowed be Thy Shame" is ranked below 13,000.

That tells you how idiotic most of the people on that site are.

At least I got to exchange some private messages with Lilitu's drummer telling him how much I love their band.

He's totally cool.

Evergrey - Solitude, Dominance, Tradegy
Elend - The Umbersun
Origin - s/t
Am I Blood - The Truth Inside the Dying Sun

I haven't listened to any of the albums, except for Evergrey's, which I'm half-way through now. So far it's fantastic.

I recieved "The Opposite of December" by "Poison the Well", and they sound like a melodic form of Grindcore, a feat I thought was impossible. Good stuff.

Haul update, realdate NOW!!

I can't believe it...Amazon.com order placed Saturday, shipped Sunday, and arrived today!! What shocks me about it, honestly, is that I opted for free shipping, so I figured I'd have a really long wait. Anywho, the Merry Axemas CDs are cool. NO WORDS, WOOHOO!!

Still waiting on the Cheap-CDs and The End portions of my haul. Methinx I'll take a break from buying my own CDs for Christmas shopping.
