Sad really, not sure if I can even blame Tony George anymore but no idea why they continue this farce, it is an insult to what was one of histories greatest Motorsport spectacles.

Someone turn off the light on the way out...

"Early reports are that only 10,000 fans showed up at California's Auto Club Speedway on Saturday night to watch Penske driver Will Power take his maiden IndyCar championship with a ninth-place finish in the MAVTV 500."

I don't know man. You can definitely still pin some of the blame on Tony George. The biggest problems right now are that the TV package buries the series on NBC Sports for 3/4 of the season and the car is not nice to look at. The racing is great, but there is nobody watching. I thought Montoya being back might help things, but no such luck. Hopefully the new body kits coming next season will make the cars easier to look at, because aside from being ugly they're about as fast as Indycars/Champ Cars have ever been. Oh well, on the bright side there's only 5 months until next season starts. #-o
