Oh I didn't even see this. I don't know who this chinball guy is, but as you know this is good news to me.
After looking him up, it's eh. Broadchurch is supposedly good, but I did not watch it. I like Torchwood, but he wasn't even at the helm for it's best season. It's not like I'm really up on British showrunners/writers for their to have been a name that'd make me overjoyed. we'll be getting a much breath of fresh air at the least.

But wtf at no Doctor Who in 2016. I truly despise how other countries handle their television series. Have fucking structured television seasons, have uniformity.

Fucking Chibnall, helmed one of the worst series of Torchwood, and wrote the most diabolical episodes of that season too (goddamn Cyberwoman), and has done nothing but poor, forgettable or passingly average at best episodes for Doctor Who itself (other than maybe Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, which is fun but really fucking low to be your absolute best contribution ever). For me I think this is the absolute worst pick of those who seemed on the table, I mean I was never gonna get who I wanted (Phil Ford) but putting that aside Chibnall is still like the last guy I'd want, but we'll see how it pans out, s2 of Torchwood was surprisingly good, even Chibnall's episodes in it.
